I have been going to Anthonys ever since they first opened up years ago... but today was the last time for me. Middle aged man took my order I paid for it with a credit card... He then went back to start making orders and handling bread. I then said "I don't mean to be rude but aren't you supposed to put gloves on after handling money?" his answer " well technically it wasn't money it was a credit card" My answer "it's the same thing" so then he got upset and said he would let somebody else make my sandwich.
Now all the employees are looking at me and snickering and I'm a little bit worried about the sandwich now.
I asked the heavyset man who appeared to be a manager of sorts wasn't there a law about wearing gloves when you're preparing food? Especially food that will not be cooked like... Sub Rolls?
His answer ...NO ONE IN WINCHESTER RESTURANTS WEAR GLOVES.... except SUBWAY.
He also stated that it was not a LAW to have to wear gloves in Winchester while preparing food.
A this point I asked for my money back and WONT be back.
All he had to do was say .."I'm sorry ma'am I forgot"and PUT SOME DAMN GLOVES ON!!! !!
I guess when you've been around as long as Anthony's Pizza has been .. rules and customer service no...
Read moreIf I could give 0 stars I would . Ordering online is HELL Don't subject yourself to it. Order from anywhere else. I waited the hour it said delivery would take. I waited an additional 30 minutes. I called the restaurant. Even though the money was taken from my account, they had never received my order. I was told to contact another Anthony's Pizza. They told me the same thing. I was told to call a third Anthony's Pizza. They told me to call Slice, the company that Anthony's Pizza does their ordering from. They've never heard of me. After a 10 minute phone call, they tell me the original Anthony's Pizza I had called, and the one I had placed my order to (the Valley Ave location) DID recieve the order I had placed nearly two hours prior, but CANCELLED it. Slice offered to reorder my food for me and since my now 12 hour Golden Girls marathon has left me itching for a manicotti, so I accepted. A little over 45 minutes later my food came. Manicotti and battered mushrooms. Only I got manicotti and jalepeno poppers. I love jalepeno so that was okay but my manicotti was thoroughly unremarkable. Tasted about the same as a Stouffer's frozen dish, no herbs or spices i would expect from Italian cooking. All in all...
Read moreThis restaurant BY FAR is extremely immaculate compared to “other” restaurants I’ve been in. Very high tech with display screens showing menu items. (Self serve station coming soon for those who would like to skip the line). The paper menu option is located right there at the counter and very easy to navigate. Each individual worker is dressed in a prompt clean manner and carry’s a polite and friendly attitude. The dining experience is amazing with clean tables (they have hand sanitizer at the table) and fast service. The food came out within 10 minutes of ordering and the presentation was beautiful. While waiting, or eating, there is plenty of decor to look at (even a fish tank too). The atmosphere itself makes you feel welcomed, cozy, and in a great mood. For all my beer lovers, they do offer cold glasses and I’m sure they have wine (?). 10/10 would go back, the best, nicest, cleanest, and most friendly pizza shop I’ve ever been in. Oh, and the drink machine is self serve with plenty of options as well as sweet/unsweet tea...
