I recently dined at La Tratorria and had a wonderful experience and delicious meal. It was so nice and the food was so delicious that I decided to return with my entire family. (6/21) We entered the restaurant and upon seeing the “Please seat yourself” sign chose an empty table and sat down. We were greeted with menus and asked for drink orders within a reasonable amount of time. After receiving our drinks, we were asked for our order. We planned to order pizza for the entire table so I inquired about the number of slices in a pizza. This was in order to help determine which size and how many I needed to order. This seems like a reasonable question and something that anyone waiting tables in this restaurant should know. The waitress responded flippantly that she had no idea!! She then proceeded to inform me that she does not eat anything in the restaurant! She then continued to explain to me that she “is on a Whole Foods diet” and only eats Whole Foods as she uses her hands to point out her slim figure. I found these comments very disturbing! I would hope that the owners/managers of this restaurant would frown upon the serving staff implying that eating the food would be a poor decision! On top of that it was quite unnecessary. I made a guess at the number of pizzas our family would need and placed our order. The wait for our food was quite lengthy. We received our pizzas before receiving our appetizers. The table next to us was a large table and their meals were delivered one or two at a time over the course of at least 10-15 minutes instead of at the same time. However, the food was very good and we enjoyed the the taste and temperature very much. We did not receive any drink refills and upon receiving the check waited for far to long to have someone take our card to pay our bill. My husband finally took the bill and card to the bar where our waitress was attempting to make a drink. Upon seeing him standing there, she actually had the nerve to ask him if she could figure out how to make the drink before cashing us out. My husband told her no and that we wanted to leave. She responded by asking him if he wanted to hear her story? She then explained that she was only 17 years old and that there was no management at the restaurant. (Why is a 17 year old attempting to make an alcoholic drink?) This is not an excuse for her poor attitude and poor service. She sat down at a table with someone she obviously knew more than once while we were in the restaurant instead of refilling our drinks or informing herself about items on the menu. She did not apologize for her pitiful, rude service and comments or offer to reduce our bill. I am sorry to say that we will probably not return due to her poor attitude and service. This is a shame because on both occasions the food was delicious!! Management/owners need to look into the service at the restaurant if they hope to...
Read moreI really don’t enjoy doing reviews like this, but everything went wrong this night. We have eaten here before and it was delicious at that time. However, I understand there was a different cook this night. I believe that was the whole problem. First, we ordered Garlic Cheese Bread. It took a good 20 minutes to get it and it was totally burnt on the bottom and around some of the edges. I was hungry so I did eat 3 pieces. My husband and sister only ate 1 piece each. Not much flavor with the burnt crust. Next, we got our salads. All Italian Garlic Salads which were very good. Next came the meals several minutes later. I got the Penne Alla Vodka with blackened chicken. The chicken was pretty burnt as you can see in the picture. The pasta was pretty tasty though. I would order it again. My sister got the Garlic Herb Roasted Salmon. She said it was pretty good. Would have been better with angel hair pasta, but turns out they were out of it and just didn’t mention it to her. Instead gave her regular spaghetti without asking what she would choose instead. Minor issue. My husband ordered Shrimp Scampi. We are aware that there is lemon in this dish. However, it should not overpower the garlic butter flavor. He couldn’t eat it. The waitress was very nice and asked if she could bring him something else. He declined at first, but decided to order a Burger after she kept insisting. He received his Burger. He lifted the top bun and toppings and guess what… no Burger. 🤦♀️ That was the final straw. We were done for the evening. They didn’t charge us for anything so you might think I shouldn’t do this review, but I felt I needed to. I understand that the cook burnt 6 pizzas that night. Something is wrong if that’s happening. The waitress was very nice and apologetic. I plan to return there, but I’m hoping that...
Read moreWent in and sat at the bar. I waited about ten minutes for someone to approach me, when a waitress passed by asked if I had been helped yet. Soon after another waitress came into the bar area but ignored me and start to gather dishes at the end of the bar, never acknowledging me. I thought she was a runner.
The first waitress then came behind the bar and again asked if I had been helped, no, I had not, so she got me a beer. The other girl then returned from her dish run to the kitchen ask took my order, Pasta Gorgonzola.
In about 15 minutes I get my food, the second waitress places it down and says "Here is your Pasta Primavera." I look at it and toss it around a little and was like, I don't think this is what I ordered.
"You ordered Pasta Primavera," she says.
"No, I am pretty sure it was Gorgonzola? I even pointed at it on the menu."
"Well, I didn't look at what you were pointing at. If you want Gorgonzola I will switch it out."
As she was walking away I realized that she totally just gas lightlighted me, I turn, and tell her no, that is OK, let me just py for the beer and I'm good. I asked, and the was no house manager there at the time to relay my experience with, which kinda tells me everything I...
