I happened to be in town and decided to look for a place for Lunch I had never been to. Reasonably easy considering how infrequently I make it to Winchester. As I scrolled through the different places I looked for someplace unique with good reviews and ran into this little Gem! It is located downtown (of which I visited for the first time). The location is great and the inside decor is fun especially if you enjoy dogs and of course the most important variable for a restaurant is the food. While I have only eaten here one time so far it was a great start. I asked the server what she recommended between the Spicy Bates and the Buffalo Chicken and Bacon Panino and without hesitation recommended the Spicy Bates! This is anything but a typical burger. Two 3oz smashburgers, grilled jalapenos, caramelized onions, pepper jack cheese, garlic aioli and topped off with a fried egg made this a pretty incredible Burger full of unique but satisfying flavors! If you find yourself in Winchester and looking for a great place to enjoy Breakfast or Lunch this would be the place to go. I am pretty confident you wouldn't be disappointed.

My wife and I had an anniversary date in downtown Winchester and our first stop was at The Lucky Dog for breakfast. It was our second time and it was once again wonderful! The atmosphere and branding of the interior is one that feels more developed than a newish restaurant usually does. It was very comfortable despite being busy. The service was good, just a little slower -- but not at the fault of the employees. There was one server for the whole front of the house and there was around ten tables the whole time we were there. All things considered, she did great, but there should be more staff if possible. The food was wonderful. They have several offerings that go beyond the typical "American" breakfast of eggs, bacon, and toast, though you can get that too. This establishment should become a Winchester mainstay and deserves your support! Highly recommend the breakfast, and there are many lunch offerings I would like to go back and try.

This was my 3rd visit to Lucky Dog. The food has been very good every time. Today we both had the Lucky Choice Combo. It was 2 eggs, 2 meats, and your choice of the following: 2 pancakes, 1 Belgian waffle, biscuit and gravy or 2 wedges of French toast. It was very good! My husband is picky about sausage gravy, but he was very pleased with this. The only reason I didn’t rate Lucky Dog a 5 today is, the food was barely warm and the eggs were ordered over medium, but they were over done. We still had no problem eating them. 😊 However, they were very busy and had two waitresses. They were doing a good job though. Today was a little loud in there, but like I mentioned they were very busy. We will return to support local businesses for sure. One last comment, the coffee was very good!!

I went there to get breakfast. It was busy. I was sat at a table that was very unstable and rocky. I asked to move. Other customers were sat away from the door. After waiting an hour for my food, the people who came in after me were served. I asked how much longer and was told it would be right out. When it arrived the eggs and sausage were fine. The pancakes came out and when I took a bite they tasted burnt. I lifted up my pancake to find a severely burnt pancake underneath. I removed it and sat it to the side. The waitress never asked me if I wanted another one or apologized for the obviously burnt pancake. I went to pay and no thank you or concern over my food was shown. I was very upset as I had been there several times in the past and not had this level of negative service. I have never left a review, but the disrespect was too...
