Sweet Tooth Bakery — Restaurant in Winchester

I ordered 1-1/2 dozen of premium cupcakes to celebrate my friends' birthday. This was their favorite bakery and they were extremely excited. To our disappointment, when we open the pre-taped box the cupcakes were upside down and icing off. I should have taken photos. We had ordered a large variety I had gone through over the phone when I ordered. The lady in the phone was patient and friendly. However, I didn't get all the flavors we had discussed either. She red the order back to me and everything. Then the cupcakes were not shown to me at pick up and I thought nothing of it.

The young girl who checked me out offered me bag for them, but then decided that they wouldn't fit. I'm unsure if this may have been the demise of their beautiful decorative appearance or if it happened prior. I was extremely careful not to tilt or bump the cupcakes. I placed them in the floor of my SUV and surrounded them with a blanket to prevent sliding. If I would have known how loosely they packaged a full dozen cupcakes, I would have asked them to split into two boxes like they have the half dozen in.

We choose to try to make the most of it and spoon icing back onto the cupcakes. You can imagine what a hot mess they looked like after that, but it was the flavor we all craved to very much. I noticed that we all bit into them in anticipation of tasty the filling in the center. The big smiles left their faces as we bit into a variety of dry cupcakes. We all followed suit after my friend decided to split the bottom of her cupcake into two and make a sandwich so the icing was in the center trying to ease the overwhelming dryness of these cupcakes. The centers where tiny, little balls that pulled out intact. :(

I ordered them in a Thursday for a Saturday pick up. I expected these cupcakes to be made fresh on Saturday. I'm not sure if the cupcakes sat around a few days, this was a bad batch, however these were definitely not the cupcakes or messy pile we anticipated.

The only positives I can give on this experience is that the staff was friendly, the separate 1/2 dozen box of cupcakes that did not end up in a pile did look pretty, and even though the cupcakes were a huge let down, I still celebrated...

Cake nightmare never place an order here terrible customer service. i placed an order April 5 2024 and paid $122.10 pick up April 27th at 9am. I was very very clear when I was placing my order and even went in person to go over it to make sure we were on the same page. I provided some accessories for my order. I got there to pick up my order none of the accessories were used and the associates told me Shawn had emailed me that they can't use them. I never received any email I do have an email of Shawn saying I can drop off my accessories because they can't provide them. They had written on the cake "straight outta 1984" even though i provided a sign to use but it wasn't used they wrote it instead.. I had to pick up this cake and drive 1 hour and 30mins to drop this cake off for a surprise party and had to drive 1 hour 30mins back home. Because the person I was surprising lived with me.. And due to them messing up my cake not once but twice after they took it back to fixed it I had to figure out different plan. i was late for to drop off the cake. I had sign that I had pick up the cake and asked Shawn to call me. She didn't and her associate were supposed to let her know but I guess they didn't either I emailed Shawn and not once she apologized for what her team did. Shawn was very rude that they won't issue any refund. because she had spoken to the owner. i asked for the contact but she didnt provide. i wasnt asking for a full refund just some. because i did take the cake i had no time to place an order somewhere else. I'm very disappointed she even quoted me $80 for the cake and change it to $115.95 before tax..

This was a disappointing experience as a first-time customer. I requested a cake for a combination baby shower/going away party. I made suggestions (such as a baby in an airplane, baby in a car, baby on a suitcase) but told them to just be creative. I was told the price would be $19.95 unless they had to be "extremely creative with the decorating or use a cake topper." The finished product was a rectangular cake with a large baby carriage drawing (very cute), a small brown suitcase drawn underneath/next to it and another smaller brown square in the bottom corner. I asked the lady who checked me out what the brown square was and she said she didn't know but that "it might be another suitcase?" The personalized greeting was written in such a soft, light green color that you have to look at it in the correct light to even see. The final price was $39.96. I asked why the price was double what was estimated and was told it was "because of the drawing." Does that mean the stock baby carriage? The possible suitcase(s) that were an afterthought? The writing in invisible ink? I'm giving a star because it is shaped like a cake. I'm giving a second star because it was completed on time.
