Mimo's Pizza Company — Restaurant in Windber

We've eaten here many times but don't think we'll be back any time soon. It was a nice day and they offer outdoor seating. It was 2 tables and both were taken. So we sat close to the open area.

When you enter you're told to take a menu and order at the counter. Drink options are bottled soda-water and beer as well as free tap water. You carry them to a table after placing your order at the counter you then get your own plates, silverware and napkins at a counter area in the dining room before picking your table. 🤨

The garage door was open, to the two outdoor tables and there was dandelion pollen flying around the floor and in the air. Not to be helped much but I doubt it was cleaned up for a few days based on the amount on the floor.

We ordered a hot sub and a stromboli and zucchini appetizer. Zucchini was little chips and not the long yummy strips they use to serve, but they were ok.

Sub was just ok and didn't come with fries (like they use to), wasn't aware of that or we would have added them.

Stromboli toppings chosen: broccoli, peppers, onions, tomatoes, extra cheese. It arrived to the table (they do at least deliver the food to the table) it looked perfect, but it wasn't! The broccoli was still frozen making the cheese not even melt in most of the inside of it. I took out the broccoli (honestly still cold and frozen on the stalks) , I ate half and took the other half home in hopes of it thawing and eating later. When I mentioned it to the counter staff (when asking for a to -go box) and told her to feel the chunks of broccoli I had picked out and said it was still frozen. She simply took the tray, after I boxed up the rest, and said she'd let the cook know.

When your done eating you are to take your dishes to the garbage can area and clean up your table. Ourselves and others in the dining room were all unsure of what we were to do, a staff member heard our debate and pointed out the garbage area around the corner from the back room. He also stated they could get it. 🤨 More confusion, all 3 tables that we're leaving at the same time then cleared our own tables.

The dough is great 😋 sauce is flavorful & they made it perfect!

We came here Wednesday 5/1. They have a Vegan & Gluten Free menu. We didn’t try the GF choices (cauliflower crust) but good to know! Would definitely recommend for vegans, vegetarians, gluten free people, etc OR any1 who wants to try something new :) …waitress said she loves the smell of vegan cheese but hasn’t tried it BUT now she will 👍

The indoor/outdoor seating is nice, we sat on the border of both lol which was lovely. It’s on a busy street but your view is still pretty with trees, grass, old brick buildings that they’ve kept up & more

*They don’t have pineapple🍍as a topping (yet) so I’m hoping with this review that they’ll order it lol pineapple pizza...

We stopped in before light up night(11/23/18). It was busy, but not packed. The hostess instantly sat us at a table and said someone would be right with us. We sat for over 15 minutes without anyone acknowledging us. Waitresses cleared the two tables beside us, complained about the one bringing drinks in from elsewhere & chatted with a nearby table. They then sat the table next to us and they were instantly brought utensils and water. We still sat with nothing, At that time, we decided to leave and had a great meal down the street.

The saddest part of the night was that I sent an instant message to them. After a week, I still haven't heard anything from them. Highly disappointed in the experience. A simple "We're sorry" would...
