BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE! We went to this establishment for the 1st time. Looking at the menu which is online in Google. Called in to make our order and it was the rib special for $34.99 and an extra side for $5.99. Got our food and realized after paying the amount was very much incorrect as well we gave a $10 tip at the time for good measure. Well we spoke to the person who cashed us out and she said she didn't know what to do so she spoke to the owners son, which that was there as well. They eventually called the owner and she said that the price was wrong and couldn't do anything then hung up on her worker. She came stomping into the store, came up to the register and tried to explain how that the Google site is where customers write in the prices as well the pictures they post. She was half correct but the prices and time for her location on Google is determined by her! She said that she was not able to just give food away which all we were patiently doing was try to be fair on what all we paid for. Then she tried to explain to us how inflation worked and how the economy worked. Telling her she just brought those prices up the day before and that her rent there was $3k a month. Giving free food away under cutting all that is not something she will do. 1st off, she didn't want to compensate the difference in price, so all we said was , hey maybe throw a rew ribs in to make this right. She didn't want to, so instead of giving civic lessons she should be taught in customer service and how to be humble. She lost a customer big time and karma does come back at u. Then as my friend was leaving she told her after she was told she was going to get a bad review for this. She said, you know, just don't come back. This lady who is the owner is rude, disrespectful and thinks she is better then her own customers. She was given many chances to make it right and was never given attitude until she wanted to be a smart A. Well lady I see you changed your prices online, which you said you had no control over as well it was your laziness for not having it done in the 1st place. Don't insult someone's intelligence especially when they are smarter then you are as well if you want to have a successful business. You need to take care of your customers even when you're wrong and take the hit like a respectable adult. If you're wrong, you're wrong so all you had to do was given money back or just throw 3 or 4 ribs in to make it correct. We were calm, quiet and collected but you went to a place you shouldn't had. Some times it is a good thing to step back and maybe see your customers as people and not money signs especially when you screw them over and even got a tip for bad service. If you look at the prices in the pictures it clearly shows you got them to up date them and this all happened to us yesterday 3/22/2025. I hope others see you for what you are and that is a swindler and just not a good person. The FOOD was not worth $65 for 2 people so everyone knows. How about use seasoning or even bbq at a bbq place. There is you another tip on top of what you stole from us. Also, my friend was not being rude for standing there after she was stolen from, you were for not making this situation right!

Where do I start when describing the awesome find that is BBQ Bears in Winder? The staff. For me every restaurant can run me off never to return if the staff doesn't keep me coming back. Even if your food is superb you can lose me as a customer if the service stinks or the attitudes are off Not here! From the Owner down, everyone you encounter is friendly, and helpful and genuinely seems happy to be there. A big green flag for me. Especially Dee and Lelea during the afternoons. Its honestly just a great all around atmosphere. Now onto the food. In my opinion it's the best meal in all of Winder. Period. Winder didnt have the big city options so I have been a fan ever since they opened. Noticeable mentions are the fried okra, mac and cheese, hush puppies and ANY BBQ meats. It's ALL good. It just is good food at a reasonable price and top notch service. Every time. I had a family member hire them to cater their wedding we all love it so much. The location itself has cute and whimsical decor. The space is bright, open and clean. The parking lot is easy to access and is located on the main drag of Broad Street. I don't know what else to say about my FAVORITE GO TO RESTAURANT in Winder. Go give them a try and you will be a fan as well.

This was our first time trying this BBQ restaurant in Winder. We are super experienced at reviewing barbeque locations. We ordered a couple of the Pork Plates. For the sides we tried the bak ed beans, blueberry cobbler, green beans, and cheddar cheese hush puppies. We also tried the meat with and without their table sauce. Both plates also came with a slice of Texas toast garlic bread. Overall, the meat was lean, very moist, and chopped to just the right consistency. The sides were all very good and their sauce was a very tasty sweet sauce which complimented the meat very well. This restaurant is family owned and everyone was very friendly. I have no complaints at all and would definitely recommend this restaurant if you are in the mood for some good southern barbecue.

Another rave. For those of you who have not tried Barbecue Bears, you should. It has become one of my favorites. The place is always clean, the employees are always friendly and helpful and the food as always is fresh and good. I had the pleasure of meeting Andre today, an employee. He was very patient and helpful. Andre, the young man with the welcoming, contagious smile enjoys his job as well as conversing with the customers. I ordered the wing plate, which is one of my favorites. They always offer delicious sides and generous portions. My friend had never been before. She ordered the pulled pork sandwich. She agreed with me, the food is good, reasonably priced and a very friendly atmosphere. She also made mention that the bathrooms are very clean, which is hard to find in Winder. After our meal Andre came over to our table and thanked us again for coming i n and asked how everything was. I told him everything was very good, as usual and explained my friend had never been there. She told him she was was impressed and said we would be returning. Follow up - I did return. It was a mistake. I ordered the wings. I love their wings. It was a take out order. I bit into one. I think this order had been sitting around too long. The wings were very hard and dry and the meat was almost gray in color. The Mac and cheese was horrible as well. I would have never served this to a customer. This should have been dumped in the trash. That was my final trip to...

We were looking for a good bbq restaurant that is local. We googled bbq & Bbq Bears popped up.I read their menu online then called & placed an order over the phone. When we arrived the total seemed a bit high but I proceeded to tip 15% on top of it. I always try to take care of restaurant workers because I’ve worked in the industry. I kept thinking the total was off so I showed the cashier what their online menu showed versus in store price. The employee immediately called the owner & apologized because she didn’t know what to do. The owner eventually came in & explained rudely that the online price is different than in store price & even tapped the little paper sign next to the register. I explained how I wasn’t mad just thought since it was my first time in she should honor the online menu price for me. She refused & wouldn’t budge. She then proceeded to tell me in front of customers how rude I was & could care less what kind of review I leave & not to come back. I definitely won’t be back.! She is awful & the employees seem afraid of her.! Also, the food wasn’t all that…! The ribs were dry & the beans tasted like they weren’t cooked all the way & little, green peppers were floating in them. Hopefully they will close down soon & a good family owned restaurant will move in. I would give zero...
