Let me start off by saying I usually eat here once a week and if you come durring peak lunch hours the food is really good. Other times they leave it out for hours. Tonight my daughter and I stopped for dinner after church and the owners son was flying through the place on his little 2 wheel electric board and I had to dodge him several times and pull my daughter out of his way so he wouldn't run her over. We sit down at the table they placed us at and the boy keeps running his board up to our table and back, up and back, up and back. I asked him to please stop and his older brother rolls his eyes at me and says, "OK!". I ask him if he has a problem with me not wanting my daughter run over while she's trying to eat (she's 6) and he jumps out of his chair and gets in my face and starts yelling at me and bucking up like he's going to start swinging. I pull my daughter behind ne to protect her and his mom is standing there (her and her husband own the place and she is very fluent in English) and does nothing. When I ask her if she's going to get her son (he's probably 16-17 but not small) she just says ok sorry but still says nothing to him nor does she intervene in any way. At this point his dad comes up from the back and I'm honestly thinking, "Dear God, please don't let my daughter get caught in the middle of this." I was ready for the boy to start throwing punches and had no idea what the dad was going to do. I grabbed my daughter and my keys and phone off the table and left. I couldn't believe any of it happened and really couldn't believe they just watched their son go at me while I'm trying to shield my daughter and...
Read moreFor the last year or so I've been bringing my friend here for lunch. He has advanced Parkinson's & is in a wheelchair so he really looked forward to me bringing him there whenever I could make time to do so. In March of 2024 I brought him there for lunch. After eating we had some coffee & sat and talked a while. There were PLENTY of empty booths & tables around us so we were not using a table they needed at all. Oddly the waitress snatched up and took away the check she had already laid on the table earlier. She came back attaching it to card tray & slapped it down on the table and walked away saying nothing. It was very clear that she wanted us to go and and I couldn't figure out why. As we were preparing to leave she passed by us & I politely asked her, were we here too long or something? She rudely said "yes" & she walked off.
You should know that we are both normal body weight & not overeaters ( I’m a vegetarian, only had salad & vegs.) while we sat and talked we only had coffee & did not go back for more food at all. If there was a rule about having to leave within a certain amount of time they could at least politely told us. We explained what happened politely to the manager and she was loud and rude yelling that we were here too long . That’s it. Nothing else. I just said to her calmly we won’t be back & wheeled my friend out. They should be ashamed of themselves how they treated us. We will...
Read moreWe live about a mile away from King Buffet for about 4 years. Last week we got a flyer in our mailbox and decided to give it a try. Today (Wednesday) my daughter and I went in several minutes after the buffet starts (started at 11AM). Other than the little salad station, there are nothing on the other station at all, only like one or two dishes on each of the other stations. There's not even fried rice. I looked at the rice cooker and there's a little bit of rice at the bottom, maybe it was leftover from Monday (they don't open on Tuesday). We decided to put in our plate whatever are there. Later on, there's more foods brought out. We sample the majority of the food (other than the salad bar). All the foods we ate are too salty, even green beans, and not tasty at all. About 15 minutes later, another family of 3 came in (Caucasians), before that we were the only customers. Hope they are regulars so that they won't be upset for the lack of foods. I don't recommend this place. But if you must go, try to go like an hour after they open and hopefully there will be more foods brought out. But the foods still be too salty...
