Garo's Place — Restaurant in Windham

Staff was great, very pleasant. I was very eager to enjoy some good Spanish food, especially rice n beans. I will begin with the positive, good prices, the tostones were perfect. Made fresh, nice n crispy, just how they taste when I make them. Restaurant was very hot, no AC inside, I feel really bad for the staff and I definitely would not want to eat there in the summer. Not a deal breaker though, this is more of a take out joint. Unfortunately, the rest of my meal did not taste fresh. The rice tasted old, had clearly been made a while ago and just heated in the microwave. The BBQ ribs were similar. Tasted a bit old, thrown into the microwave, not heated all the way through. I've eaten and cooked lots of Spanish food, so I am familiar with how it tastes when it's made fresh. Great lunch spot! Cubanos were fantastic, massive. You could tell the ingredients were super fresh. Will be going back.

Update: I needed a caterer to serve great food for a baby shower I was hosting for my daughter. Decided to go with Garo's Place and I am so glad I did.
