Update: the price of the to-go box has gone up. The box has actually gotten smaller. And there’s an older lady who will follow you around as you fill your box and then charge you extra. I would not recommend going here for a to-go box any longer, despite my comments below. Also, weird taco creation on buffet was offputting.
I really appreciate this place, especially these days, when prices have gone up like crazy. You can go in here and for a flat rate, you can fill a box with your favorite items from the Buffet. The other non-buffet restaurants around here were already overpriced to begin with, and now they pushed their prices up even more. I generally just get my Chinese food from Hartford. It’s the same food, if not better, with more options, but way more reasonable pricing. If I do buy food in town, though, I’m either dining in buffet style or getting a to-go box from this place. They have my business Beware: there’s a woman who will charge you extra if she thinks your box...
Read moreI was very busy and couldn't make it to that other buffet in town and been meaning to try this place, especially because it's open till 11. I'm sorry I did. 99% of everything looked old. I was afraid of food poisoning. The rice was dried crusty and old. Like cmon at least make sure there is good rice! The hibachi stove was covered with stuff so I couldn't order anything there. There was 2 bowls left for soup and they both looked dirty. I couldn't believe they would leave food looking like this for customers. I took the few things that looked ok and they were tasty and I didn't get sick. the pastries were also dried hard and old. Very bad first impression, won't be going again. Also my drink was never refilled, my daughter's milk tasted slightly off, and the decor looked like they weren't even...
Read moreMy favorite Chinese buffet place. I simply love their fried dumplings. The dipping sauce is perfect. I don't normally eat in. I do take out from the buffet. I usually get 2 containers at the front desk for dumplings the other for a walk around the buffet isles. Little take out sauce cups and tops are at the front desk area. A large array of traditional Chinese offerings. Boneless ribs, rose chicken, fish, salmon, noodles, fried wings, egg rolls. Sushi, desserts, fruit. Soups. The list goes on. You can dine in using the buffet, or order from the menu. All you can eat at the buffet. Not handicapped accessible if you are alone. Doors need opening. Wait staff is always, always pleasant. No loud yelling or kitchen noises. Very clean throughout. Reasonably priced. I'm never...
