Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen — Restaurant in Windham

This place opened months ago and I was so excited. The first month I went everything was delicious and came out fast and fresh with big chicken breasts in their sandwiches. However, a few months down the road the past three times I came for an original chicken sandwich they told me they were out after I had already ordered online via the app. Had to contact customer service to get a refund and left without food. When they actually do have chicken sandwiches they have more breading than chicken and you have to wait a ridiculous amount of time to get it. This last time (because it will be the LAST time I ever go there) I waited parked near the door for my drive through order as the 3 cars behind me left with their food. 20 minutes later I got my food, came home to eat it and the piece of chicken looked like a pretzel of mismatched chicken pieces thrown in the fryer with more breading than chicken. If you’re lucky you’ll leave with the food you ordered.. after 20 minutes.. and the chicken will be so chewy that you don’t even want to finish your sandwich because it’s so disgusting. I know it’s a fast food restaurant but a robot could cook a better sandwich than that. They should honestly shut down the place until proper management can come in and straighten things out. DO BETTER! 30 minutes in drive thru only to be parked. I saw two other cars parked durning this time. I love Popeyes. So I get my two small fries. As in, they were too small for the price. Waiting on two chicken sandwiches. Finally get my order. One spicy. One regular. So disappointed. Both sandwiches. The chicken was smaller than the bun. I’ve never had that happen at a Popeyes. Chicken is usually hanging off the bread. The spicy, was actually spicy. That’s a first. Flavor was there. Quality and value were not. I’ll check back in a month to see if they work out the kinks.

UPDATE: 5/8/22

Total train wreck dumpster fire. Went inside this time. $55 on 4 meals cause the 4 chicken sandwich deal is now online only. Ok. Whatever. I’m here, let’s eat. 22 minutes into my wait, they finally looked at my ticket only to say hey. We don’t have fries. They told someone in front of me they didn’t have something else. With no options. Just we don’t have, refund my money please. Mind you. I have my four kids in tow. what a mess. This place still hasn’t figured it out. Will one more month solve the problem. Idk if I’m willing...

The service and food were terrible. I placed my order at 12:15pm and show up just for them to tell me that they don't open for another 30 minutes but they would have my order ready for me when they were open. I said ok and came back 30 minutes later. They say that is a 5 to 10 minute wait. I say ok and drive around to the front doors and end up waiting 25 minutes. Note at this time is 1:10pm. I go inside and ask what is taking so long and how much longer. They say they are waiting on the wings and that its 5 to 10 more minutes. I just ask for everything else in my order except the wings and go. I get home and all of the food is cold from sitting out for so long. From the moment i placed the order and went to this store to when i finally left, it was a whole hour wait all because they can't open on time (google said they opened at 10am), hire enough people, or train those people to work faster/harder.
