EDIT: Feel free to read below for the original story, but long story short: after writing this review, I received a call back from Wings and Pies the next day apologizing for my experience. They sent me my order from the previous night (made fresh of course) for free.
Pleasantly surprised to see this sort of effort to make things right. It was a solid move and as a customer I appreciate it. I'm editing my review here as well as my rating from 1 star up to 4 - everyone makes mistakes, and they owned up to it and really came through. Thank you again - the food itself is delicious, quality was never the issue here!
ORIGINAL REVIEW
I placed an order at Wings and Pies, and after an hour, I called back asking where my food was (politely). The woman who answers the phone has an attitude immediately and says something along the lines of ‘we called you fifty thousand times, you gave me the wrong number.’ I asked her to read it back to me, and she read back an incorrect number.
Think about this for more than half a second. Does anyone give a delivery service the ‘wrong number’? Who doesn’t know their own phone number? You took it down incorrectly, Wings and Pies lady. Which is FINE, by the way! Human error, it happens and I was totally okay with this!
But seriously, show some customer service and some contrition here! Say it was your fault (because it was - again, WHO DOESN’T KNOW THEIR OWN PHONE NUMBER?). How on earth do you give a paying customer an attitude right off the bat and tell them they’re wrong?
Bad customer service. I asked for a refund and I will not be buying from...
Read moreThis was my first time going and I will definitely be going again! I literally just left there, and applaud such great customer service. From the time I ordered over the phone ( got a grinder and Antipasto), to the time I picked up and left, the service was on pint. I even was given a thin slice of of pizza to try while I waited for my order ( which I got there in 5 minutes from my place, so only took them 10-15 minutes to complete order overall) The women who answered the phone when ordering, and when I got there was very kind, had great customer service, and a positive attitude ( that many places theses days you don't get) They deserved everyone of these 5 stars and can't wait to go back. And if you are wondering how the food taste lol cuz that does count to, it was / is great (as I am stuffing my face) When you ask for a 12' grinder you get a massive 12' grinder and antipasto is loaded with meat and veggies. I have worked in the food industry for over 12+ and this place is all around got it thumbs up P.S And the light piece of pizza I got to try was very...
Read moreBeen ordering takeout from here the past couple of years while in school, never had anything bad. List of what I want to pass on to other potential to-go customers: Portions are big, which is great. You can stash some away for the next day or share one order with a friend. If you get a marinara pasta dinner, ask for extra sauce. Most of the sauce goes on top of the chicken/eggplant/meatballs and sometimes there's not enough to go around for all the pasta. Their fries are my favorite: thicker than McDonald's straw fries but not as thick as steak fries. Sweet potato fries are also very good here. For the tenders, it's all about the sauce (of which they have, like, 20). A super safe bet for your first time is the honey garlic. Pizza itself is good, though I've only had it a couple times. I usually go for calzones and those are a heaven of mozz and ricotta. Be very specific about what you want on your sandwich/grinder/wrap. Most of them come with lettuce, tomato, mayo, and cheese. If you don't want that, just let 'em know. Never...
