I was thinking of ordering some cupcakes and the online menu says there are "vegan options available" but doesn't specify which ones, so I figured I'd give the location a quick call to see if it was specific flavors or if most could be made vegan and potentially place an order. When I called, I was greeted relatively nicely, but when I asked if I could clarify some things about the vegan flavors the woman on the other end started getting very snippy. She told me to ask about specific flavors and she'd tell me if she could make them vegan. No problem, totally fair. The first few I asked about were simple "yes" or "no" from her, but when I asked about red velvet, she said something along the lines of "most people go vegan to cut out stuff. That flavor is just chocolate and red food coloring." I let her know that red food dye doesn't have animal derivatives to my knowledge, and she brought up the "cutting things out" comment again. I respectfully pointed out that I was planning on ordering cupcakes, and after a brief pause she begrudgingly asked if I wanted to know about any other flavors. I asked about a few more and let her know that I'd call back to place an order once I checked in with my family, but based on the other service reviews I'm not sure I'm going to plan on doing that anymore. Based on the tone she gave the red velvet comment was demeaning rather than inquisitive, and I'd rather not subject myself to that kind of conversation again.

“Baking your ideas to life” “because every cake has a story” is their mission description. We’ll they completely failed. 55 dollars to find out my baby’s gender in a “cakery” the idea was to get a completely white cake and then cut into the cake to find out the gender. But this is not what transcribed. The cake was beautifully decorated blue and yes it’s a beautiful representation but again not anything that 10 minute conversation could help. If this were my first baby I would’ve reacted differently. CONTINUED edit: We went back because we just weren’t happy with the whole situation and oh man it got worse haha no empathy for the situation defensive the SECOND we walked into the door. The poor husband tried to d-escalate the situation but this nasty lady continued to berate us for coming back and trying to work something out with her. No refund and no solution found. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. They don’t understand how to treat people.

Where do I start!?!? My niece wanted a coconut cake with cream cheese frosting for her birthday party. I decide to support a local bakery instead of one by me in the city that was my worst decision. First mistake. I went in person to order the cakes one that my niece requested and another for those guest that didn’t like coconut. The owner was sooo RUDE! Acted like she didn’t want our business, I even asked her, is there a problem? wish I would have read the reviews that she doesn’t care for minorities, would have NEVER ordered from there. Second mistake, Day of the party my brother in law goes to pick up the cakes around 11, they aren’t even ready, mind you the order was placed 5 weeks prior. She yelled at him, that he was early and needed to come back later, I called her to question why the cakes weren’t ready and she says “oh I didn’t look at the slip, it will be ready by 12!” He arrives at 1150 and she starts yelling at him again!! “why are you here? It’s not 12! They aren’t ready?” He replied no problem I can wait. Finally 15 min later, cakes are ready. Third mistake, cake time, the coconut cake we were so excited to taste was DISGUSTING! super dense, not even a fork would go through it, tasted like clay. Super waste of my money. Fourth mistake, called to complain about the cake but get no response, or the owner is not in.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY! GO ELSEWHERE. Please chose a...

I wish I could comment on the taste of the food however we didn't even make it that far. Whoever talked with my wife on the phone was very rude and condescending. Our daughters dedication is coming up and my wife was suggested this place by a family member. Upon calling the business, a female answered who sounded very rushed and maybe over her head. My wife was polite and was trying to talk with the woman about the cakes and each time she was cut off and asked "when do you need it by?!" Multiple time. Taken aback, my wife responded by the 27th and the female replied "ok so the 26th." The conversation took more of a turn when it got into the various flavors as she had no patience with my wife asking about it. Telling her "you clearly didn't look at the website". She then rambled the flavors off very fast not giving her the opportunity to respond. My wife became very upset and stated she would call back. While it is a general norm one looks at a website before placing an order of any kind it is not unreasonable for a person to call to inquire about the various options as well. The very short and rude reply to my wife's inquiries was a turn off for sure. While I wish the business well I hope that the staff member or owner who my wife spoke to gets a vacation or much needed break. Life is stressful enough and it shouldn't be when ordering from a business even more so a cupcake place. Thanks...
