Jim's Pizza — Restaurant in Windsor

Who ever Jim is, he would be MORTIFIED of the service we recieved last night. Waitress was fine, my soda was watered down, requested a new one she forgot didn't have a drink until my meal came out. I spoke to the waitress about having a severe mushroom allergy prior to ordering my food. She assured me that was fine. As I'm eating my grinder the cook comes over speaking with a waitress (not ours) and says "Just wait until she finds the mushroom I slipped in there." I immediately put down my grinder and wanted nothing more at this restaurant. Mentioned it to the waitress she seemed upset about the comment made. Also asked to speak with the manager, she apologized and attempted to convince me to eat the grinder anyway or she would have another one made. I obviously didn't accept the offer. Someone's life can be taken by a serious allergy and I dont find that funny like the cook did. The cook gave me a dirty look from the moment I mentioned his comment until the second I walked out the door. Talk about an unsettling experience.we didn't have to pay for the grinder but we did have to pay for the meal. Which I find inappropriate. Thinking about it now I wish I would of walked out...

My parents used to get takeout from Jim's at least twice a week when I was in middle school and early highschool. Back then it was the goto pizza place in town, they did a booming takeout business, three guys alone making grinders and pizzas. But that was pre sale of the business to an owner that ran the place into the ground and ruined its reputation. The original owners have since bought it back, and it's getting better. BUT they've changed the menu, really stripped it down and gotten rid of a few of the signature dishes that made them so good. Overall, it's okay but inconsistent. Some days it's almost as good as the old days, others it's just shoddy and meh. And it's a toss up as to what you're going to get whenever you go. I don't go here for pizza anymore as I find it's just not that great. I do still stop in on occasion for some dinners though, and overall i could say it's...
