I wanted to wait several days before I posted this review, to try to remove the emotion from the situation, and to see if I would feel any differently once I was feeling level headed again. I feel it is a responsibility of the customer to hold a business accountable when they won’t do so themselves.
I own a business that needs positive reviews, so I also appreciate when people give me an opportunity to address a situation before they post a negative review. I feel it is important that anyone reading this review understands that I gave them every opportunity to make things right before posting this review, and they chose to do nothing at all.
I actually love Wing Shack and will continue to support their other locations in Johnstown and Fort Collins, as long as I don’t experience similar treatment at those locations.
I am giving them 2 stars specifically for my last two visits. And the only reason it’s not one star is because I had plenty of 4-and-5-star experiences with them before what has happened recently.
In August, we got wings that were unbelievably awful, absolutely the worst quality chicken I’ve ever had from any restaurant in the last decade, maybe ever. It was as if they ran out of their normal supply and just went to get wings from the grocery store. I can write off one bad experience when there is a history of good experiences, so I decided to give it some time before trying them again.
A couple of weeks ago, I ordered takeout, and while the wings were fine that time, we were missing part of the order. That was after it took a full extra 30 minutes for them to make the order, on top of the “30-40 minutes” I was quoted. I didn’t realize we were missing part of the order until I got home. So I called to ask what they could do to make things right. At this point I shared that my last experience was really bad, and now this.
They said “you can drive back and we will give you the rest of your order”. Not good enough, I informed them.
“We can credit your card for the missing items.” Well that doesn’t really make things fully right, I explained. I don’t get to enjoy the entire order fresh that way. I like wings but it’s all better when you get the other stuff with it.
“We can give you credit for the items for your next visit.” That’s the same as the last offer, and not, in my mind, enough.
So I explained that I also run a business and we bend over backwards when people have a legitimate (and occasionally not legitimate) complaint. When I am the one on the other end of that conversation, I find that people who aren’t angling for a specific discount tend to be the most reasonable, so my attempt to let them “do what they feel is appropriate based on the situation” was really my way of leaving it up to them to decide how important I am to them as a customer.
How important am I? Not at all important. We received no refund at all, not even for the missing part of our order. So all I’m left with is to share my experience with everyone else.
Should this restaurant ever come to be under different ownership, I will be happy to give them another chance. But until then, we...
Read moreWing Shack is an exceptional restaurant that transcends the boundaries of conventional dining experiences. From the moment you step foot inside, the tantalizing aroma of perfectly seasoned wings greets you, paving the way for a culinary adventure that is simply unparalleled. Here's why Wing Shack earns the title of the best restaurant of all time. But before I go over with rating Wing Shack, I would like to give praise to some of their exceptional employees at the establishment, one notably being Anik (I think was his name). He was extremely helpful and guided me to receiving my wings. Anyways, let me get into the review
First, the wings are just straight up phenomenal. The cornerstone of Wing Shack's legacy lies in their wings. Each piece is a testament to culinary artistry, cooked to perfection with a tantalizing blend of spices and sauces. From traditional Buffalo wings to innovative flavors, the menu showcases an impressive variety that caters to every palate. The crispy exterior, juicy meat, and harmonious marriage of flavors will leave you craving for more.
For my second point, I would like to bring up their attention to the qualities in their wings. Wing Shack's commitment to quality is evident in every aspect of their establishment. Only the finest ingredients are used, ensuring that each bite is an explosion of freshness and flavor. The dedication to sourcing locally and responsibly adds an ethical dimension to their culinary prowess, making Wing Shack a beacon of conscious dining.
For my third point, I would like to bring up their fantastic customer service. At Wing Shack, exceptional culinary experiences are complemented by an unparalleled level of service. The staff is warm, knowledgeable, and ever-ready to cater to your needs. Especially Anik, he was extremely helpful in helping me acquire my wings. Their genuine passion for their craft shines through, making you feel like a cherished guest rather than a mere customer.
For my fourth and final point, I would love to bring up the overall happy environment surrounding the corporation. The inviting ambiance of Wing Shack sets the stage for an extraordinary dining experience. Whether you’re enjoying a casual lunch or a vibrant evening with friends, the restaurant’s cozy and lively atmosphere strikes the perfect balance. The blend of rustic charm and contemporary...
Read moreWhile at a family function I mentioned that daughter was thinking of applying at this Wing Shack, when my cousin said don't do it! Her friends daughter worked there not too long ago and quit thankfully and the male managers I believe Pete and Carson ( not sure on names) , can't manage if their life depends on it Carson degrades the females, treats them horrible, he doesn't like them, is known for making them cry, not to mention not training them correctly in the first place than degrading them for mistakes, while the male employees make the same if not worse mistakes and he helps them out. Spends most of his shift high as a kite She said more than once her friends daughter came home and was in tears over this and going to his boss did no good, he didn't seem to care nothing was ever done, apparently team leads all knew but no-one says anything exact words were "that is just Carson" when did degrading females become ok in the work environment? Maybe if the managers went through sexual harassment training they would understand this isn't not how to manage a staff. Thankful my daughter didn't apply, will never apply nor will my son or any family members for that matter, apparently I will be warning all friends with female daughters this isn't company for them. Not to mention I will now be taking business else where! Shame on you Wing Shack management, upper management, owners and staff for allowing this behavior. Wing Stop...
