Mango's Mexican & American Grill — Restaurant in Winona

First time I have eaten here, and OH MY GOODNESS. I am not sure I will ever go to another restaurant in town for Mexican food.

Chips & Salsa: Absolutely magnificent. It’s got a kick, which I love!

Meal: I was there for lunch, I got the seafood enchiladas & they were top notch!! I’ve never had crab/shrimp enchiladas before, and I HATE green enchilada sauce but they use their own white sauce.. HELLO TASTE BUD HEAVEN. How did they create this magical sauce?!

My boyfriend recently came here for work before I ate here with him, he is the one who recommended we eat here. He got the same dish he did the first time because he enjoyed it so much: Grilled Chimichanga. He was impressed that it was REAL steak strips & not just grounded up meat. We both agree this is our Go-To place anytime we want Mexican food!!

I WILL SAY THOUGH: Seafood enchiladas reheated is 100% not the same as getting it in the restaurant Fresh. Which is no fault to the restaurant at all - just a disclaimer.

10/10 would come back. New favorite Mexican...

The restaurant is small and intimate, as well it has a great outdoor patio area (which is where we sat) The service was great until going to pay our bills. * see end of review* The server he was friendly, the food was hot and arrived pretty quickly. The chips claimed to be freshly made, the salsa was great, as well as the ranchero sauce. The entrees we ordered were great and came with the traditional mexican restaurant garnish (rice and refried beans)

I would gladly stop in for lunch again.

**Regarding the poor service at the end when we went to pay our bills, we were completely ignored by multiple employees while standing by the register for about 5 mins. Then when she did run my card she allowed multiple customers to distract her from the current task at hand. Also its a poor in and out situation, I had to shoulder check multiple college douchebags just to get to the door, because they wouldnt move, and the restaurant has a small poorly setup entry and...

Pretty disappointed in your restaurant. I had two punch cards that were half filled and good for a free meal. After placing my order on the phone, waiting 30min, driving over there, and going to pay I was informed that you cannot combine punch cards! That is the dumbest freaking thing I have ever heard. I’ve never been to a place that would not combine punch cards. The lady said it was because of the cost of printing. If your that worried about the cost of printing then stop giving them out. I specifically asked the girl who started me a new punch card if they could be combined and she said yes so I don’t appreciate being lied by one of your employees. We would get $50 take out order 3-4 times a month and I was looking forward to a nice dinner and getting a free meal because I technically earned it with your punch card system.
