Rita's House of Pizza — Restaurant in Winslow

We don't eat wings often but when we do we always like Rita's because of the consistent quality and variety of flavors. We had a poor experience last night however. First, the price doubled over the last time we bought wings. I can't fault them TOO much here because I think I read something about a COVID related supply chain issue nationwide but when I google the issue, I learned that chicken wings are now at 2018 price levels. Additionally, the copy of their menu on their FB page is still the old prices. But beyond the price doubling, when we picked our wings up, they weren't sauced. All the sauces were on the side, and my favorite sauce (garlic paremsan) was missing. The receipt even said "sauces on side" which we didn't ask for. We got them home and realized the mistake and called. The young man was difficult to get an answer out of. I was trying to ask if that was they way they would be served from now on (sauces on the side), and he was just a little combative, defensive and just couldn't get more than 3 words in before he started off again. When I picked up the phone to call, I was only mildly annoyed. By the time I got off the phone with this young man (who never got the memo about having two ears and one mouth for a reason), I was nearly furious. We'll try them again. We're usually happy and I've already left a great review but I couldn't let this "face plant" go...

We placed an order for delivery (within a mile) and they estimated 45 minutes. This was a very simple order, but we waited 55 minutes before calling back. They said that the delivery driver hadn't even left yet, because they were too busy in the diner. So, we said we would come pick it up. When we got there, they hadn't even started cooking our food yet, and there was absolutely nobody in the diner. Keep in mind, this was not five minutes after they said the diner was full of people. We requested the delivery and tip be taken off the bill, and they said they had already run the card, and could not do that. We told him to give us the cash equivalent, because we were not paying for something we didn't get. They gave us $5 from the register. We finally got our food an hour and fifteen minutes after ordering, and when we got home, we noticed they hadn't even included everything we ordered. Not only that, but the receipt wasn't itemized; it only had a sum total on it, so there was no way to verify if they had even taken the right order. We called to complain about the missing food, and they said they knew about the missing food, but didn't say anything. This happened last weekend. I heard today, that they are closed. Due to road construction I've been unable to get delivery since like December. I wish I could post the video I sent my daughter of how beautiful this Chicken Alfredo dinner looked when it got here,still really warm too ! I called Rita's to say that I didn't know who put my meal together but ( and I am fussy about chicken Alfredo!) it has just a little extra Alfredo sauce on top so when I have some later again or for lunch it will NOT be Dry I had to buy a second item to meet the delivery order minimum less than $2 and I said I'd be glad to take a 2nd garlic bread and when I opened the bag she also put THREE separately wrapped garlic bread rolls in there for me !! An absolute A Star Rating . It's Rita's or I'll go all the way to Augusta to go to Olive garden because I won't eat it anywhere else. It's just the noodles are soggy or this or that too often every where else I've tried locally the last few years .this food was ABSOLUTELY perfect.
