Sunrise Bagel — Restaurant in Waterville

Maybe it was me or maybe the person was having an off day I won't fault them with the current climate about. Food is always great. And my im mute not deaf badge might have not been out if that was the case its my fault and my badge that says it in big bold letters is just some people assume I'm Deaf because I can't speak. I wrote what I wanted down so it would be easier on the person who took my order. My wife who comes in some times is deaf so she can speak. If the person that I was being rude giving them a paper with my order I apologize wasn't my intention. I don't do socially well with ordering by myself i write it down. Also normally my wife orders for me because she can read my lips. I will say the other people pull there mask down when my wife says shes deaf so she can read there lips i thank you with that. I understand being mute is very different. I would ask for a smidgen more visibility and understanding of those of us who have a disability, mute, deaf etc.I understand you might get some unfriendly people come through and in no way am I trying to be unfriendly I just wanted it to be known that I had that incouterter the other day where the person seemed upset that I handed them a paper with my order. We were eager to try this place, but had pretty high expectations. The shop is very small, but had a pretty decent selection of bagels when we stopped in. They were quite busy, which is good for a business, but not so fun when you're standing shoulder to shoulder with other customers. A minor problem to look past if the food is amazing. After hearing good things the first few days, we decided to stop in. Unfortunately, we were disappointed. First, the prices are okay for bagels/bagels with cream cheese, but the breakfast sandwiches and lunch sandwiches are too pricey. I mean, I don't mind paying more for homemade and good quality, but $6 for a bacon/egg/cheese is a bit much. Back to our experience. We ordered 2 bagels with cream cheese. Mine was much smaller than the other flavors and was dense and didn't taste all that fresh. My husband said the same about his, so we were pretty bummed. Parking is a nightmare. They have about 5 parking spots, and the others belong to the business beside it which contain signs stating they will tow if anyone parks there. I unknowingly drove into the parking thinking originally it might have been Sunrise Bagel's parking, and I parked there for less than a minute while trying to see if anyone was leaving so I could take their place. Before I could even reverse my car and leave (since there is no place to just drive forward to leave), the owner of the business beside Sunrise Bagel's came out screaming at me to leave or she would tow me.
