Tom's Tavern — Restaurant in Winslow

While walking out a rude and miserable looking woman walked out as she cut us off. This comes in play later. We go in and a lady in black dress serves us drinks. Our first drink goes empty as we sit and soak in this really odd environment. Figured I’d get one more beer. I waited a while and then the miserable lady comes in behind bar and the black dress lady goes on customer side of bar. The bartender had left the property because she had pulled out in her truck. A customer was filling in for her. After she came back later she tapped her finger on bar at me and just says “ready for the next?” So rude, no personality, clothes weren’t clean, she spilled a drink. This place is horrible! Interesting place. We attended an "invitation only" event which was held on the outside patio. There is plenty of shade plus a large interior courtyard and stage. It's a great place for large group gatherings with a bar area to order beverages. Food was offered inside. I can't review the food because we are vegetarian/vegan and there was nothing available for us. I believe BBQ, Mac 'n Cheese and Coleslaw was served plus many individually wrapped desserts. The reason for 4 stars not 5 is only because there was no food option for vegans. It's a great location for entertaining in Winslow! The parking lot is not paved so dirt flies everywhere when the wind picks up. I did have some breathing problems inhaling...

Arrived at three o'clock. Friday. One customer there. Sat down. Bartender never acknowledged my presence. No how are you doing. No what can I get you. No nothing. Not even eye contact. I laid a twenty on the bar expecting her to take my order..... Nothing. She walked behind the bar and disappeared. I waited ten minutes and got up and left. Happy that the owner has a monopoly on bars in Winslow. Anyone else opened one he would be out of business. Never going back. Going to make it a point to tell anyone who I might think is going to get close to this...
