Bojangles — Restaurant in Winston-Salem

Sunday September 8, 2024 me and a team of people travel from others city and states to film in Winston-Salem, NC to film a project.

Several members of the crew went to this Bojangles to quickly grab something to eat but we had no clue what we were about to experience. The building looked relatively new from the outside so we had hoped that this location would have good quality service but we were mistaken. As we approached there were several vehicles of upset customers leaving but we didn’t mind because we just wanted to get out of the drive through as quickly as possible. We went to order the wings and were told it will be 20mins before they are ready, so we adjusted and ordered something quick like supreme dinners. The person taking the orders then told us to just get the wings and we attempted to stick with something quick and they insisted that they had the wings ready to go. So we placed an order of wings and i decided to order mac n cheese to avoid having to wait for them to make a batch of unseasoned fries. After 20 mins I went inside to check on the order and the staff was in the back avoiding coming to the front. Customers had entered behind me and we can hear and see them avoiding coming to assist us. The manager came up and attempted to assist, but he did make mistakes taking peoples orders. Our food was brought to my vehicle while i was waiting inside. Once we checked our orders the meals lacked any napkins, condiments, or utensils.

This is where things went from bad to horrible. I went inside to go get those items and they were no where to be found. I went back to the front counter for several minutes and everyone ignored me and the other people up front. Once again, eventually the manager came up front and asked what I was waiting for. I asked for a fork and some napkins and he told me they dont have any. So I then asked for a spork, spoon, or knife and he told me they don’t have any of those either. And here’s the worst part, he told me to just go get some napkins and utensils from the gas station for the food that we purchased there!

I literally had to scoop my mac n cheese with my tongue. He told me that they dont keep supplies because customers take them and that is a poor excuse for providing essential items for customers to eat and thing we purchase from there.

This was such a bad representation of this brand that the crew that I worked with now refer to this store as Brokejangles.

I don’t if this store is new or what is the cause of the horrible experiences customers keep having but I hope this can catch the attention of corporate so this store can be course corrected asap....

I’m on my lunch break and I ordered my food over 30 minutes ago and I am still sitting here waiting. Not only am I waiting on my food but I have sat here and watched every car that comes through the drive-through they’re sending them over to Pork. They have been trying to sort out orders and this is probably the worst service that I have ever seen in my life. I cannot believe that they allow people with this kind of training or ability to work in this place, if I would have not just spent $25 on the meal I would have drove away but they’ve already got my money that’s how they got me so I have no choice but to sit here and wait I have watched people receive orders that were told to park and then a few seconds later, I have watched him get out of the car and go inside because the order was not right coming through the drive-through when I did order the food and pay for it. It looks like there’s a lot of game and play on the inside cussing and no one really looking or acting like they have any kind of respect for the customers come in through the drive-through I don’t say much and this is probably the first review I’ve ever left on anything , this is probably been the worst experience of a fast food restaurant or whatever you wanna call this it should be shut down and opened up as something else because I will never eat here again I am going to tell everyone that I know about how this is just rude and I’ll probably never eat at Bojangles again. I would have to be starving almost sick before I ate at this place again...

It takes a lot for me to leave 1 star.

If you ever want to see a group of people who hate their job though, stop by this store. I walked in to place a larger order for our office and I expected to wait, I was not expecting to not be acknowledged and to hear a large amount of disgruntled employee banter. It Took a minute and someone had to point at me for someone to take my order. The receipt printer didn’t work and you would have thought I personally offended one of the employees asking for it. The lady who ended up helping told her coworker “I’m not doing that for you all day”…. The machine malfunctioned… it was a weird thing to say as if she purposely didn’t print the receipt.

The store itself “looks nice” but when you start looking closer it kept getting more gross. Then of course there is the 83 sanitation rating that I didn’t see until after I ordered.

The employees were also complaining about the GM when an employee who was obviously sick came in the front door.

I’m thankful that she was not in the back prepping food at the time.

Won’t be back for a long time… very...
