Camel City Playhouse — Local services in Winston-Salem

Learned about them during my Leadership Winston Salem class. One of many small theaters in town. Decided to see The Glass Menagerie and I was not disappointed. The tickets are reasonable and affordable. This is a small, intimate place which is perfect. They sale beer, drinks and snacks. Seats are like the old movie theatre seats and they have cup holders. Views are great from any seat and you can pick out your seat when you purchase your tickets. They have different plays throughout the year and also play scary movies on Tuesdays usually. I rarely go out to thing like this because I need certain accommodations and I dont want to be a bother to people. My friends convinced me to go out to see Evil Dead the musical at the playhouse tonight. The second I walked in and found the seat they had arranged for me. I was immediately greeted by Maryl, who asked if I was comfortable and was just all around the sweetest. She then got a second seat so my husband could sit with me (we had not even considered that being an option and planned on him sitting separately). Nice quaint little theater... It is only 11 rows deep, so shows will sell out quickly, but there isn't a bad seat in the place.

If you are looking for modern and glitzy, this isn't it, but it is a great place for local talent to hone their craft.
