Our experience was a disaster. I was looking for a venue for a meetup on a Friday night - a social that involved a fun game. I was told Friday nights have live music, so I asked if it would be too loud to have a successful evening. The owner whom I talked to assured me it would be fine, and he was enthusiastic about hosting us. The night of the event, I asked what kind of music was going to play there. I was told it was "jazzy". Okay, jazz would be great background to our fun. By the end of our evening we were all hoarse from screaming at each other to be heard over the thunderously loud cover band, and the people behind the bar clearly didn't give a s*.
