This used to be my go-to Chinese restaurant—until now. I placed a Friday night order for two shrimp and broccoli with garlic sauce, only to discover they gave me shrimp and broccoli in brown sauce instead. I called the next morning to explain the mistake. The woman who took my order (and had even repeated it back to me) quickly handed me off to her husband. Rather than simply acknowledging the error, he implied that I must have ordered it incorrectly. He also assumed I had already eaten all of the food, I only ate a small portion. Still, I kept the conversation respectful and calm, and he eventually agreed to make it right. When I arrived at the restaurant, I returned the uneaten food. Instead of making a fresh order, he took the same shrimp and broccoli from the returned container, reheated it in garlic sauce, tossed in a few new broccoli florets, and handed it back to me—telling me as if he was doing me a favor by "adding more broccoli." So I called Ming and ordered their lunch, orange chicken spicy with an eggroll, and told it would take 10 minutes. So I jumped in the car and headed to get my food. Once I arrived, I went to the counter to pay. I informed I ordered the orange chicken lunch combination, and then I was told there is a difference between lunch and a combination. After paying for my meal, I waited ten more minutes for my food. I typically ask for a chili oil along with my soy and duck sauce and was told I had to pay .35 cents for oil. Nevertheless, I left that oil right there. Once ready to eat, the food looked good. However, I didn't taste the orange flavor, but I know Orange Chicken is really an Americanized dish. Nevertheless, the meal was just ok, and I am not sure if I would return. For me, something was slightly off with the customer...
