Whataburger — Restaurant in Winston-Salem

Family of four when and we spent 50+ dollars. Tried a variety of foods. It was not good. At all. The customer service was terrible in the drive thru, the guy taking the order didn't put our order in correctly even though I told him several times in different ways plain burgers. He looked like he was high to be honest. When we got the food I immediately checked our food and it was wrong as I suspected. The one guy didn't take the wrong food back with him but took the itemized receipt on the bag. Then a girl came and reconfirmed what we wanted and took the burgers. It took several minutes to get our food back and in this time our fries were getting cold. This customer experience was frustrating and stressful enough, I was hoping the food would make up for it. Unfortunately it didn't. The burger was not good at all. It was quite mustard heavy and all the toppings were in the middle. Honestly a Burger King whopper tastes better. The fries weren't salted and cold. I couldn't eat them. The blackberry pepper shake was yuck, don't do it. The lemonade was also not good and tasted like lemon water. Finally the apple pies, my husband said they taste like old school McDonalds but I wasn't impressed. I was really hoping this place lived up to the hype and especially with the price I was expecting better but this place will fade fast with customer service and food like this. Such a disappointment, definitely won't be back. With that price I'll go to Five Guys for better food and customer service or even Culver's. Actually McDonalds tastes better than...

Before we even ordered we noticed 2 deputy sheriffs directing drive thru traffic. Once in line you had one person putting numbers on cars not taking orders just numbers and somebody else taking orders up ahead at the menu. We spent about 10-15 minutes in line. There was three people outside at the pickup window and only one of them was leading and actually doing g there job of handing out food. The other two were just causing confusing yelling peoples numbers and trying to figure out who has paid and who hasn’t. When we were finally handed our order we asked again if we had paid.

The food is at best a burger kings experience. This is unfortunate cause this place was hyped up like it was the second coming of Christ.

The food was 22 dollars for chicken strips and a burger. You can get better service and better food for cheaper from McDonald’s, Chickfila, and Dario.

This location opened on October 6th 2025 we went through the drive-through on October 11, 2025 around 7:45 PM there was a lot of people but there are two lines and a bit of traffic control from two security guys.People taking orders out in the line so we didn’t have to wait to get to the ordering station. It did take some time to get our food because there was a lot of people there and you can tell they were working out kinks. But overall I gave only four stars for service because there was a lot of confusion about putting the orders together and delivering them on some of the cars, but not all of them. One of those cars was our order.. So any ratings for this location before October 6th are not accurate for this location. We will definitely come again. The food was...
