Ave Bar — Restaurant in Winter Haven

We have been going to Avenue Bar for 5 years and usually have good service. This evening however 10/23/21, we arrived a bit before 6:00 Pm. It wasn't very busy, we seated ourselves at a high top and waited for the blond waitress to acknowledge us, Well a few minutes later a group of three people walked in and said oh there will be 7 or 8 of us. The blond and her male co-worker proceeded to buzz around moving chairs and such and then bringing them their drinks as we sat and watched. To make matters worse the male waiter or what ever he was ,saw us, mentioned it to blondie and we were still ignored. Needless to say we got up and left and went across to street to FIRE and had a much better meal with wait staff that understand that first in first served. We understand she was to make a bigger tip with more people but that still doesn't mean you ignore people who arrived first. Later AVENUE BAR you have proven yourself to be what you are , a mediocre bar with poorly trained staff. Had to give one star to post, otherwise they would have...

Stopped by the Ave bar connected with Arabella’s last night for a few drinks. The vibe was cute and the bartender was great. My partner and I enjoyed two rounds of drinks.

The first round, we both had espresso martinis. My partner had the one on the menu - which was too fruity for me - and I had the espresso martini but instead of the raspberry vodka I substituted it for tequila.

The second round I had their Spritz Veneziano and my partner had a Campari spritz.

I've traveled widely and recognize skill behind bar. Even though busy, Logan didn't hesitate to cheerfully experiment with my "Martiki" expresso suggestion. This establishment has some creative above the line offerings and plenty of essential ingredients as well as the fine tools needed for crafting a quality tipple. They could use some acoustic panels to dampen the boisterous atmosphere (NOISE), but otherwise this is a great bar with a talented mixologist sandwiched between awesome pizza and fine...
