What a disaster.
We ordered a large sesame chicken, a small vegetable lo mein and curry chicken, and an order of crab rangoon. Two free white rices came with the food.
Sounds like a feast, right?
Wrong.
The portions are tiny and overpriced. Not packed into the usual paper boxes like you expect from Chinese take out but loosely placed in small plastic bowls. Our complimentary white rice was a pint and a tiny 8 oz box I having never seen before. Any other place will give you nearly double what you get for the price here.
There was a hair in the curry chicken.
The food took over an hour and a half to arrive.
The delivery driver acted like she wanted me to come out to her, not her to my door. She was also extremely snotty when I told her to keep the change, a sarcastic, "Oh, thanks for the 50 cents." There was already a tip factored into the payment, one she frankly she didn't deserve after the huge delay and rudeness.
I called the restaurant back to complain and someone picks up but doesn't say a word. I say hello a few times and finally the lady answers. I tell her about the delivery driver and she mutters incomprehensibly while putting the phone down a few times to talk to another customer in the store. I eventually hang up and give up without ever really speaking to...
Read morePoor customer service! So I called ahead for my order but when I arrived they (lady on the phone) forgot . Then I ordered again (chicken wings in garlic sauce w/ chicken rice) and waited for my food for about 10/15 minutes. $16.32 for some scrambled chicken with huge chunks of mushrooms, broccoli and who knows what else. “Ekkk” I could’nt even identify what was actually “chicken”. After what I saw I returned only to be insulted by the woman at the counter. I asked could they remake my order the way I asked. They told me I was confused about what I ordered (chicken wings vs chicken in a stir fry) and that “Chinese people don’t eat fried chicken which is why they stay so slim.” Me (black person) trying to figure out what the hell does that have to do with what I ordered said ok ma’am “well I’m not taking this with me “ so she did agree to refund me $5.08 & still didn’t want to do another order of chicken wings in the sauce lol so I let her refund me then I left , 3 days later my refunded about hasn’t been received nor did I ever get any food. You might see 1 star but it’s really a “NO Stars” for me. That’s just my experience hopefully someone...
Read moreMy family and I have eaten food from Eddie's for many years and have found no other Oriental restaurant in the area we enjoy more. Reasonably priced, good selection, no MSG, flavors we appreciate and enjoy.
Have enjoyed every dish ordered. Really enjoy the Beef and Broccoli which is consistently good. The Sweet and Sour sauce, in my opinion, could be more tasty, but it will do. They're not 100% perfect, but what restaurant is? When someone dislikes what they order from this or any other restaurant, I suspect it's because they're used to it cooked differently in their own home or at another restaurant.
It would help when getting answers to a question or when ordering on the phone if there was someone on the front line and register very fluent in speaking and understanding English. However, part of the novelty of dining where Oriental food is served is also enjoying the language difference.
Overall, we very much enjoy food from Eddie's, and have no reservation in recommending it to friends, visitors, guests, and online inquirers.
P.S. Ask for rice noodles if you are...
