I called to see if they had sweet Plantains. The person who answer put me on hold for about two minutes. When they came back they advised that they didn't have Sweet plantings. I proceed to order my gyro the sweet plantains. I asked how long the wait would be they advise it would be 25 to 20 minutes. I waited at least 40 minutes before leaving my home. It took me about 15 minutes to get there. When I did get to the restaurant I expect my food to be ready which it was not I proceed to wait at least another 10 to 15 minutes. When they came out with my food they advised me that they didn't have sweet plantains. At this point in time I was overwhelmed flustered and just took the food. I was very disappointed in the food. As the old boss of the owner, I watched the excitement of the process of her ideas coming to life, but I also saw the unfortunate setbacks. Gigi remained positive and left it in the lords hands. As an American who strongly dislikes American Food, I already know what this restaurant was bringing to the world. I have tasted MANY of Gigi’s delicious dishes… The Grand Opening was a HUGE success, but no surprise there… It was amazing to see all the beautiful people who showed up for a beautiful human! My friend had told me about this place because her mom had visited a few weeks prior and I was in the area so I called to place an order. I got the fritay with chicken honestly, the food was amazing. I have not had Haitian food in a minute. I will say it did take a while to come out, but that just means it’s honestly being prepared freshly which was fine and they honestly give you such a good amount of food like I wasn’t expecting it when she brought out two plates I was like both of them are for me.
