El Rodeo Mexican Restaurant & bar — Restaurant in Winter Haven

Unassuming little place in a shopping plaza that has surprisingly good food. The décor is very cute, And there is an adjoining room that has a bar and dancing area that was not in use when we went there.The margaritas are a very good size and and tasted great. The chips and salsa were delicious. The chips were fresh and warm and so was the queso so that we ordered. I was very pleasantly surprised by the ceviche dish that I got. It was quite fresh and delicious.. And on top of that it was only $6 For a very generous portion.. The chimichanga was also Very large and good, but I did not enjoy it as much as chimichangas that I've had in some other places. There is plenty of parking outside the restaurant as they are located in a shopping plaza. They definitely need to hire more staff though. There was only one person working the floor when we went there and I felt really bad for her! She really needed some help. For the majority of our meal the music was good, however towards the end they turned on some music in the adjoining room that was loud and also clashed with the music that was still on in the main part of the restaurant.. My family and I went on a Thursday around 6 pm and dined in. The waitress was super nice and helpful!. My husband ordered a burrito with modelo and it was FAT and I ordered a chulupa with a pineapple fresca. And honestly my hubby was a bit jealous. I didn't get a pic of it and I'm bummed cause it was pretty . The fresca may be an addiction now lol .I ordered chicken tenders and french fries for our 4 year old from the kids menu and the tenders were good they were like GIANT McDonald's nuggets the waitresses brought horchata for her to try. When we arrived the place was empty, our order was taken quick, however other people came in after us. Their .food came out before us. My husband s plate was served 1st mine came out several minutes later. I ordered flautas, they looked amazing, I couldn't wait to take the first bite.
