Old Man Frank's — Restaurant in Winter Haven

Couldn’t make it up if I wanted to. Went for lunch there were two servers and older blonde and a brunette. We got the brunette. We ordered our drinks and then the server took the order for the table next to us that had eight people, and then came and got our order which consisted of two of the lunch specials. She brought out five of the orders for the table next to us and had two extra lunch specials that didn’t belong to anyone. After 15 minutes, she informed that table that their other orders were still being made as well as the appetizers they ordered. 25 minutes after we ordered she came and asked if we ordered food we told her yes. We got the other server to finally bring us another drink and 40 minutes in our server came again and asked us what exactly we ordered. When we finally got our food, neither one had the sides that we ordered. As I waited for my garlic bread, she came out once to inform me that they burned it and had to make it again. By this time, my lunch was almost gone speaking to the table next to us. It was clear they were just as unhappy as we were with the service. One couple remarked that it’s always been bad service, but they like the location and being on the water. I don’t know who hired this woman, but she is absolutely horrific. I can only assume she may be a relative or has something on the owner to be able to provide such horrible service and still have a job. I will say a young girl came in while we were waiting for our food And she handled five tables with ease and they all received their lunches quickly. One of those tables she took when they came in to ask what was going on because it had been 45 minutes since they got their drinks. Usually love this place. Great atmosphere and good music. We sat down a little after 6pm out by the lake where the music was. We just ordered some boiled peanuts and some corn dog bites and they were great. The young servers is where the problems arises. We was there almost 3 hours and I had only 4 beers, I turned down a beer only once when asked if I wanted another. Given 3 hours is a really long time to be asked only 4 times if I would like another beer. We sat at the table constantly with no drinks. I also received a bud light draft when I was clearly drinking miller light, but it wasn’t mentioned until I seen my tab. My better half would order shots, a glass of ice, and I would order a beer, only for them to bring back a glass of ice. So we waited because I know it could be hectic up at the bar and kitchen. Never came back with a beer and shots. Also on two different occasions I asked for a beer and was forgotten about because I made eye contact with the servers twice and you could see the look of forgetting about the beer on their face. I understand being busy but there was 3 servers to take care of the outside( which was respectfully somewhat full) and 4 customers inside. DO NOT GO HERE. Worst experience. Arrived for beer and lunch around 12:30pm, left hungry at 1:45. It took the waitress 10 minutes to acknowledge us, and another 5 to come take our drink order. We said we were also ready to order our lunch, she replied that there were other people who had been seated before us and she hadn’t gotten to their food orders yet. 1st excuse. We should have left at that point, bad mistake. We waited another 20 minutes for her to return to take our food order, and another beer. While waiting another 15 minutes for our beer, the waitress said.. ‘I’ve got your beer on the bar, be back in a minute, my hands are full. 2nd excuse. While we waited for our food, we witnessed several other tables that had been seated after we did receive their food. Another 25 minutes passed and no food, waitress advised that our food would be coming “soon things are busy”. We decided to cancel our food order, pay for our beers and leave. As my husband went to the bar to pay for the beer, the manager who had been sitting idly at a table watching us commented that the restaurant shouldn’t be “comping” the cost of our cancelled order.
