The Twisted Prop Bar & Grille — Restaurant in Winter Haven

The WORST service I have ever had was today at this place thanks to the waitress Brookelyn!! To start, we arrived and my husband had to go inside to ask who was going to serve us. We had been waiting for 10 minutes. The waitress arrives and takes the order, brings water for me and my daughter, beers for my husband, and a couple of minutes later she brings the drinks. It took approximately 40 minutes to bring us the food. She forgot about my husband's burger salad, apparently they brought it to the wrong table, but it took about 10 more minutes to bring it. Then we never saw her again. Every time she came out it was to serve 2 large tables she had (obviously she was very focused there because maybe she was only thinking about the tip she was going to get) and we were a zero on the left. After several minutes, she comes back and I tell her that we need the dressing and water for me and my daughter. She walks away and never comes back. About 12 minutes passed and I had to go inside to tell her that I have been waiting for 12 minutes for the water and I also told her everything that she forgot. She tried to justify herself by saying that she was busy with other tables, which I can understand, but when you see that every time she comes out, she doesn't even look at our table, minutes go by, she forgets everything, I couldn't shut my mouth. I told her that if she doesn't know how to work in a business like that, she better not work. I was a waitress and I always gave my best to my clients, no matter how busy I was. Then she comes to our table and guess what? She brought me my water but forgot my daughter's, smh!!I asked for a box to take the food and she sent another waitress to give us the receipt and the boxes. The food may be good but the service is terrible. It's not the first time that they make us wait so long or that the waitresses don't have good service, but today they dropped the ball. Needless to say, I'll never go back!! We spent 75.97 and it's the last time we spent our money there. Brookelyn, go take training on how to be a better waitress because...

UPDATE: So we still go back all the time to Twisted Prop... but this past Sunday, the food is not the same as when they opened.. they took away the shrimp wrap which I LOVED SO MUCH and now I can get 3 small tacos with shrimp and this last visit the shrimp was so small and only like 2 in one taco but the price went up... we got chips and salsa and the chips were cold stale and the salsa was runny water for $6.00.. .. I compared this with what I just bought from Aldis.. bag of nacho chips and their jar of salsa (under $6).. went home warmed the chips and the salsa was thick and tasty... Can't understand how a restaurant can screw this up... Otherwise we still love the atmosphere and the fried mushrooms..Our server must have been having a rough day as I asked for ranch dressing and wasnt receiving it. I also noticed the owners/ managers just sit there when there are dirty tables.. like help your staff show you care.. and for Gods sakes, maybe not sit where your customers could.. Seems like they are more like customers than owners... and I think they are just letting this place slide a little with quality and quantity... I would never treat my business this way... I am hoping it was just an off day and maybe go back and see some changes.. Sorry I had to drop to 3 stars.. but chips and salsa should be the easiest thing to prepare... EASIEST... Love this place... It used to be Idle Zone.. .but WOW... much better as Twisted Prop... The food is always cooked to order, very fresh and the place is super clean and welcoming... We go at least once a week and I love the grilled shrimp wrap... You have to go here.. so relaxing and again,...

Today I visited Twisted Prop as I have many times and have enjoyed my food and atmosphere. I go there specifically because they are dog friendly . I have been to their restroom with my service dog many times ( have receipts from each time I have been there ) , today I went with my companion ( my dog) , my service dog . I sat at an outside table , which I always do ! Then I went inside to the restroom , upon exiting the back door , the owner proceeds to tell me that dogs are not allowed in . I stopped n stayed well I have been here many times n used the restroom with my service dog in tow and have never been told this nor or there any signs . He said well if he is a service dog show me proof , well let me explain something , I don’t have to by law show u proof (Ali though I carry it on my wallet , which I had with me) another man at the table said well he has to wear a vest . Well no sir he does not especially when he his coat does not allow him to wear one due to his coat ! The owner was very rude to me and my service dog !! I am furious that I we were treated this way ! As a travel nurse here in the area I will make sure that no one o know here n that comes here never ever patronizes this business . I have never been treated like this ever with my dog nor will I tolerate it ! It’s proven statistic that one bad service comment goes along way 😡 so I certainly hoops the owner understands this as the word will be spread on all social media !! As I said before I have enjoyed going there n have used the restroom many times with my dog but I promise I nor will any one I know ever go back there again… discrimination at its...
