I went to the Cafe and I had the whole fried Red Snapper. Which I normally have a couple times a week and it's always amazing. When the check came I handed the server a gift card that had $18.00 left on it along with my debit card to cover the remainder of my bill. She then came back and told me that they were upgrading the POS system and they weren't able to process my gift card. Beacuse of this the manager comped my dinner since it was $17. She then handed me the gift card back. I said to her that she should keep the gift card because the manager deducted my entree. She said that I could keep it for the confusion. Wow! I thought that was very nice of them. The following week I took a friend there for her first time. We ordered 3 dozen oysters, the smoked fish dip,(which we never received) and we each ordered the whole Red Snapper and many cocktails. When the check came I once again handed the server my gift card, that I was told to keep for the confusion on my last visit, along with my debit card. When she picked up the check and the payment, she said to me, "You know that you can't use this gift card because you got the last one for free." Instead of arguing with someone that can't make a managerial decision, I asked to speak with the manager. The manager came over with our server and he said he would take care of it. She then started telling him that I already used this gift card last week. When I started to explain the situation to the manager and was talking to her she sighed deeply and walked away while I was talking. He then said that he was the one who authorized her to give me the gift card back the following week. I asked him why he did that, and his response was, "I thought you would use it in the retail part of the store and not his Cafe." I asked to speak with rhetoric general manager and when he finally came to talk to me, he said they have been very busy and short staffed. I explained that I would never be back and that I would share my experience with everyone I knew. He then gave me an extra 10% off and asked me to please give them another chance to make it better. I'm not sure if I'll ever be back....
Ā Ā Ā Read moreSecond day in a row I have went & their system was down "7/13/25 - 7/14/25". On top of this after we drove 45 mins to spend our money with Lombardis. After being here several times, today we were greeted by a woman about having the freezer doors open while we were looking thru the freezer to decide which crab legs we wanted. RUDELY we were told that we can not have the doors open with complete ATTITUDE as if we were just suppose to look thru the doors. She complained saying that we can "Defrost" the crab legs like that with a HORRIBLE ATTITUDE!!!! Which was understandable if we were really there for a long amount of time.... minus the attitude. How else are we suppose to decide on what we want for the bang of our buck that we are spending!!?? This lady acted as if we were there for 30 minutes. All of this is literally a couple minutes of looking. Shortly after that, a cashier came to us after, stating the same thing this lady just got done telling us....... literally. I told him she just told us this.... & he QUOTED "THAT IS THE OWNERS WIFE" So my whole point being to this Review is that we have went two days in a Row to spend our money & both days the machines have been down !!! & we were disrespected by this "OWNERS WIFE" Her customer service was disgusting!!! & this cashier told us this as if we were supposed to be ok with her attitude!! Because this was the "OWNERS WIFE". This interaction was 7/14/25 around 3pm. If need be to confirm these details with thee cashier I was told this from. I WILL NOT BE BACK. Thankfully the system was down 2 days in a row that way I didn't spend my MONEY WITH THESE TYPE OF PEOPLE!!!!!!
In response to your reply How is it my fault these items were mismarked? I was looking for the best price I could. As far as i was being watched for "suspicious activity" when there was nothing at all suspicious, tell me all i need to know. I see how you view people. Thank you for your...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreDecent prices, high quality, with dine-in, take-out or fresh & frozen take away options. I love that they offer not just deep fried but also grilled or blackened for most menu items. I also love that they offer a choice of sides instead of just french fries but both are available for (probably) most people that desire the traditional deep fried & french fries. The inside dining area is in the same large room as the retail store which has the typical fish market smells. Especially in warmer weather, this may be very undesirable for many. They do however, have a outside patio, that is right on West Fairbanks Ave which has considerable traffic noise. But, the traffic noise is a better choice than the smell inside when eating and there is a decent green hedge to separate the patio area. With all the retail options, it was very difficult to NOT buy something to take home. The key lime pie looked simply wonderful and both slices and while pies were readily available to pickup and take home. The seafood soups, 3 choices the day we were there, looked good, smelled great and were simply fabulous, again readily available to take home hot or cold. Beer and wine were available and ordering was at a counter with table service. Our food service was considerably slower than others around us. I suspect the blackened option for the entree was the cause of this delay which wasn't unreasonably long, but significantly longer than several other groups nearby. Parking is fairly limited, but adequate when we were there. It may be more challenging to find parking when the fish market or cafe is a lot busier. This is definitely going to be a planned stop whenever we're...
