I have a gluten, soy and dairy allergy which I ALWAYS mention when I do an order. I asked for the gluten free rotoni plain with shrimp and a salad. The other item in my order was no allergies. The girl who took my order said she would make sure to write allergy in the order. Well I come home to make my food and add my own sauce and started eating it. I found a piece of angel hair pasta, to come to find out that turns to 6 pieces. I called the restaurant location and spoke to the girl who took my order who said she would get a manager, which took a while to come to the phone. The manager told me she was coaching her team on what to do and apparently it was rung in wrong. Manager suggested she could make another meal for me or give me a gift card. I asked for a refund. I have an allergy, it’s not that it just gives me a little discomfort. All the manager could say was she was sorry, but that doesn’t affect what I have to deal with the side effects. My throat is tight, hives, itching, joint pain, bloating, weakness. This is the second time it has happened at this location. The first time there was only one piece of angel hair pasta versus the six I found last night. I’m beyond upset because i’m not asking for much but for my order to be right. I want to be able to go and enjoy a meal out, and not feel like I’m going to be poisoned. Plain pasta shouldn’t be mixed with other pasta. Now it’s going to take my body time to rid this out of it while they go on with their day and life like they didn’t hurt somebody. I honestly think just giving me a refund of my $38 really wasn’t enough. Please educate your team on taking allergies seriously. Thankfully, I was at home and could take some Benadryl but now I have to deal with the consequences of a tight throat and all. Just unacceptable. I just advise anybody who goes there with any type of allergy to double triple check. I said numerous times on the phone that I had an allergy, but apparently it...
Read moreSorry to say, but it was the worst Olive Garden experience I've had. While our party was waiting to be seated I used the restroom which had no useable paper towels; dispensers were jammed and broken. Another man, and his little boy, also needed paper towels which I got by notifying the three women at the entry station. A woman from our party came out of the women's room shaking water off of her hands so I asked, and then notified the entry staff that the women's room had the same problem. The entry staff seemed oblivious to people coming out if the restroom wiping their hands in their clotges! After drinks were ordered they took a long time to come; simply water, iced teas, a milk and sodas. And when water refills were requested, not offered by the server but requested by the guests, it took 15 minutes to bring them. Breadstick came with a verbal 'endless-just ask' but when asked it took another 20 minutes to bring 'the only four that are left, we're making some more.' Meals were also slow in coming out, one 'Tour of Italy' was so delayed that the guests said 'just pack it to go.' My meal, the Margarita grilled chicken, was overcooked to the point of being burned on one side. I certainly wasn't going to take the time to request a remake, but it would have been reasonable to do so. Though we had verbally indicated '4 separate checks' in our party of 17, it all came on one Ziosk and we had to split it ourselves. The 'first check' party forgot to print and after the server went to get a printed copy, the Ziosk responded to the next effort to pay with 'Your check isn't ready yet.' on three consecutive tries. It took a 'reset' by the server to accomplish. I understand that a large party takes time to accomodate. That is reasonable. But the restaurant was not busy; the kitchen was either extremely slow, or perhaps the server was slow in putting the order in? He was certainly slow in bringing water refills so maybe it was all hum. I...
Read moreMy son, my boyfriend and myself went to Olive Garden on Memorial night for dinner. Olive Garden happens to be one of my son's favorite restaurants. We normally go to the location on East Colonial but decided to try this location since it is a bit closer to our home. We were welcomed by a very kind gentleman who escorted us to our seats right away. We sat there for about 15 minutes before being acknowledged to the point that we decided to bet on what time we would attended to. And no the restaurant was not busy at all. This gave us some time to see the tiny details that was abandoned by management. Our table was decorated with glasses that read "salute". I thought it was nice that they made an effort to honor our veterans. But the glasses were dusty and dirty. Why not clean them before placing them on the table?? The decor above the table was very dusty as well and the area smelled like a wet dog. Maybe the rug needs cleaning? FINALLY we were greeted by Natalie our server just before we were getting ready to walk out to go to another location. She took our drinks order etc. She seemed okay nothing over the top. She never apologized for the delay. Another step in service failed. When we received our Salad...we unwrapped our utensils from the napkin and the forks was decorated with water marks all over. Now afraid to complain in fear of what may end up in my food, I cleaned the fork myself. While we completed our salad I couldnt help but notice that the same server was clearing another table and had the cheese cutter? on a tray next to dirty dishes. I wanted some extra cheese but after I had seen that I politely settled for what I had. The meal...okay nothing to write home to mama about. Could be because I was so disgusted and wanted to leave. I will never come back to this location again...and regretted that we didn't just walk out...
