This is one of our favorite parks to visit every time we are in the Winter Park area, which is at least once a month. It is right off Orlando Ave, and close to all the restaurants and shops around the area. We love the playground at this park. It is very ample and with lots of things to do and have fun with. My kids love all of the nooks and crannies it has to play, hide, and have fun in. Outside the playground, there are a couple of huge sport fields for Soccer and Football. There also happens to be a small exercise area with equipment, right next to the playground. There is a nice little trail to walk around the park, however, currently, it is partially closed due to construction of the new Winter Park Events Center and Library (Beautiful Building by the way). Nevertheless, if your desire is to take your kids to a nice quiet, yet fun, playground, this is the place to be. Do what we do, enjoy a nice little meal with your family at one of the many restaurants nearby, then swing by to this park to let your kids have fun and unwind. By the time you’re done, they have had an enjoyable day and...
Read moreThis is one of the best parks in the area... It's just beautiful here. It has a nice paved sidewalk to go walking, with a bridge and path, around two small bodies of water that boast wildlife such as ducks, turtles, fish, herons... Also has an area for exercise, with nice workout equipment and instruction on how to use it. The park also has a couple Soccer fields, a softball/baseball diamond. The best part is the wooden playground. It has swings, tunnels, a wooden structure to climb on/in/through, a slide, and lots of tables and seating for the grown ups that need a break... It's a lot of fun for the little ones. I brought my daughter here, some 23 years ago... Now I bring my grand-daughter. She loves it as much as her mom did, all those years ago. I highly recommend his Park if you're looking for something fun to do with your little one, or you just want to get out and exercise and walk while enjoying...
Read moreOne can walk around the lake and over a little bridge. There are ducks in the lake to see. There are some benches under shade trees in addition to a fort/castle structure on a playground which also has swings. There is a swing for a handicapped child and also one for a baby in the back connected to a safe tub-style swing in the front. I was impressed with that! Of course, there's a rotunda with picnic table and public bathrooms and that's about it. Oh yes, there are soccer fields and the basketball court and a exercise machine station. They're building the new Winter Park library across from this park. It's very easy to park and the part where the kids play in the fort/castle structure is shaded, as I recall. There are three water fountains that I saw and there are two little sharing library kiosks from the Winter Park library system. I...
