That Wing Spot - University — Restaurant in Winter Park

This was my first time at That Wing Spot and overall, it is very enjoyable. I was greeted by a friendly face when I walked in which is always nice. I am guessing one of the servers noticed I was a bit lost as I looked at the menu, so she actually came over to me to ask if I had been there before. She walked me down to the kiosk and explained everything to me in a polite, clear, and concise manner. After I entered my order, I asked her if I was going to receive a text notification when my order was ready. I asked that because i was going to take the drinks back to my car and wait there for my order to be ready. She was so kind as to offer to bring it out to me. That is going above and beyond. I also understand that when I was there it was not a peak time, so they had the option to do something like that (which I understand is NOT a part of their services. Like I mentioned, this was above and beyond. The business was bright and clean and comfortable. The fountain drinks are very good. I had their pineapple cream and cherry soda, and they are both delicious. The french fries were hot, fresh, and well-seasoned. They were crunchy and golden brown on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside. A perfect bite every time and it was a good serving for two people to share. Now the wings... The wings are small in comparison to other wing places, and they were a little tough because of that. The flavor I chose was the smokey sweet bbq and they do use a good amount of sauce on their wings. With the shareable order for two people, you can only select one sauce. Maybe they can implement a second sauce in a small dipping sauce cup as a substitute for not choosing a dipping sauce, such as ranch or blue cheese, just to put it out for customers to try other sauce options. Hmm. For these reasons I gave 5 stars for the atmosphere, 5 stars for service but had to only give 4 stars for the food. With an overall 5 stars, I do recommend That Wing Spot in Winter Park, FL, and I will definitely return if I am in the area again. Thank you...

Worst wings I think I have ever had! Also they messed up my order. It’s so funny that they put the receipt on the bag and then completely mess it up. The wings are so small! I couldn’t believe it. The instagram is such a complete lie!

I went in today and ordered the wing combo with 10 wings and fries. I chose boneless wings, Hot Honey Garlic for my sauce. Well I got 10 bone in wings and Spicy Garlic cause it didn’t look like the pictures at all! I was shocked about how small the wings were! It was mostly flats. Why did I choose boneless if you are giving me bones. The sauce was awful and the wings were barely coated!

I also paid the $1 or more for the spicy fry’s. Well I got regular fry’s no spice at all. The only part of the order they got right is I got two ranches. The fries were okay, would have been better if they were what I ordered.

It was $18.36 for my meal after tax. I was so disappointed to drive 15 minutes away from the location, to open the bar and get an order I did not order. Also this place is Cashless. Why be cashless that’s super annoying!!!

I ordered on Uber. They had a but one, get one free combo. So I got my boyfriend and myself each a “double combo” if you would. My uber was dropped off on time, and I was ready to eat there Honey garlic bone-in wings. I’ve had them before and it’s the best. The problem with today was, only my boyfriend’s food came. No honey garlic bone-in wings in sight. Got everything else correct though. I told uber, only got a partial refund back. I called the store and the lady on the phone was understanding and sweet. Her manger told her, that since it was an uber order, that I can’t get my wings that I ordered and paid for. I’m confused because, I ordered through Uber, but Uber didn’t pack my food, they only picked it up. I’m upset, hurt and hungry.
