Backyard Coney Island — Restaurant in Wixom

Started off really REALLY good. I got the country omlette with the gravy on the side. Gravy was good and thats the only thing that allowed me to eat just enough to be full. Like i said the first 1/3 of this 14"x5" omelette was amazing....especially with gravy. But as I got into it I noticed that the meat and cheese was not only moving all to the your edge of one side but by 40% there WAS no meats or cheese....just severely undercooked hash browns...which after opening it up and picking what was left to enjoy out made up roughly 75% of the entire concoction....egg and all. So I wrapped it all up into a floofy ball and poured gravy on it. Went with 6 others. 2 of them didnt even eat what they were given. One guy got a bowl of chicken noodle soup and said it was disgusting. One guy ordered a Philly cheese steak and it was like 3 or 4 thick slices of meat it wasnt even shaved. Anyways this place seems to be very popular but none of us liked it...and one guy even warned us that it was bad because he would eat there after school a while...

I went there for my usual breakfast. I normally go to Westside Family Dining. The biscuits and gravy were cold. The veggie omelette with feta cheese was cold. I witnessed the host ignore a man wanting to cash out so she could scroll through her phone and I was overcharged. They charged me a couple of dollars extra for 1 pancake that was to replace the hash browns. Every where else in the world when I say I don't want the hash browns as my side, they ask if I would like a replacement. The entire breakfast was 18+$ without the tip. I normally, every where else in the world would tip a minimum of 5$ and still walk out with a bill under 20$ FOR ONE PERSON, with a hearty, healthy smile from a host. She only received 3$ because EVERYTHING was disappointing. I don't earn the typical downtown Wixom demographic wage, so if this is the standard, I will never be back. Someone needs to...

Just found this gem yesterday with the family and what a treat it was to be there. Sarah our server was exceptional - we felt right at home with her kindness and genuine interaction with us. Food was very good - fish and chips (in house battered and fried), greek salad (great portion and looked delicious), burger (looked perfect) and I had the loose burger coney and the taco coney - both loaded with ground beef seasoned so well and toppings to go with them - I truly enjoyed every bite! I was able to snag a few fries from other people at the table and they were by far some of the best I've ever had - I'm still thinking about them now. Great find for sure and we'll...
