Johnny B's Roadside Saloon — Restaurant in Wolcott

I normally never leave reviews and this one is rather prolonged, but here goes. I used to go to Johny Bs for a late night, lite beer or two. Unoften I would go and have a marg or a cosmo Well went with my ex last memorial day and I can confidently say I won't be returning. The service is fine for the most part, but I asked for the marg special which was 12$ I believe. So when I asked for Casamigos, (which is mid-tier tequila btw) I was dumbfounded that I was charged an extra, 7 WHOLE dollars for really not a very good margarita!.. Had I'd known they were planning on tacking on such an absurd upcharge, I would've ordered/much rather preferred something cheaper.. I've previously come out of 5-6 years serving experience and I have NEVER seen so much upcharge for ONE* drink. Holiday or not. I have never seen an additional charge that high statewide or for any drink anywhere for that matter. This is not NYC or L.A. This is measley Wolcott, CT of all places.. Honestly, it's embarrassing. I've never had a bar try to tell me that Casa is more than a 2-3$ upcharge at most**. I coulda bought a whole beer with 7$. It's...

Went there last night & the beginning of our meal was great. Waitress & staff were friendly & they checked in on us multiple times. Pickle chips were awesome & the salad was nicely portioned. However, it nearly took us two hours to get out of there. Something happened with our meals. The wait staff kept coming back to inform us which was nice but by like the hour mark they should have offered us something different. We were told "We got you for the meals, we're so sorry" & "I'll give you a discount for the meal" but in the end we still had to pay for all of it. My meal was delicious but not worth the wait. They comped us dessert which we took to go bec by then we just wanted to get out of there!! Waitress kept saying to "give us another chance" but we're gonna pass. They forgot to give us a baked potato to go as well. We really wanted to like this place but it disappointed us in the end. They could have at least comped our appetizer & drinks on top of the desserts but they couldn't...

So, your thinking of getting out and the only thing that you want is to go enjoy enjoy yourself for any number of reasons... To stop for a drink, to go out with others to celebrate 🎉, or to even choose a place you're definitely going to get a good meal; Johnny's has an impressive menu for a bar and even a far better than you can imagine plateful of deliciously 😋 made to please 🙏 as well as fill you up dishes. They have specialty menus for various days and occasionally events, (like their BBQ's) that are well worth keeping up on their announcements. I was just treated to an AMAZING Steak 🍖 Dinner for my Niece's 21st Birthday Party Venue choice! I can not emphasize enough to all what an awesome surprise on my part this meal turned out to be for what I thought was just a hasty decision made by a then famished Birthday 🎂 Girl who had also been celebrating on a midweek night to boot! 📣So I am not shy 😊💭 to share this time enjoyed that was my surprise to pass on to all! 👉Have Fun! 👋...
