Bun Buddies — Restaurant in Wood-Ridge

Finally, after their soft opening we had a chance to sit down and enjoy a bun buddy. Was greeted at the counter with a smile and an explanation of some of the things on the menu decided to go with the special buddy double of course with a side of fries. The burger was probably one of the best local burgers I have had in a long time. Just enough to fill you and the taste with the mix of onions and the rest of the toppings we're absolutely delicious. Yes, the burger was a little bit messy but that's expected. Make sure you use the half a piece of paper that it's wrapped in . Food came out fast even though the place was busy with people sitting and eating and enjoying and the to-go orders. Don't forget to try the retro video games definitely made me feel like a child again. Just looking at them. We were lucky enough to meet the owner. He took time out in between orders to explain his vision an inspiration to open this location. He's definitely a great individual with small town vibe and hopes he can radiate that throughout the community. If you live local or if you're coming from a distance, definitely give them a try. You won't be disappointed. They are closed on Sundays but everybody does need a day of rest. Can't wait for our next experience...

In this little quadrant of Wood-Ridge you have most of life’s (alliterative) essentials… banking, bakery, bagels and – thanks to Bun Buddies – burgers.

From the arcade games (including one of those teeny-tiny Pac-Man games by the register… that works!) to the rustic tables and chairs to the short-and-sweet menu… you know you’re in for a good experience.

My family have been here more than a few times already and each visit has been the same… incredibly tasty grub - served hot, ready quickly - with quite possibly the nicest guy in the restaurant biz fronting the register (as well as cooking and cleaning and bussing and everything else).

Bun Buddies wisely sticks to their lane – burgers (beef, veggie, chicken) and fries (two styles, basically) – and absolutely kill it.

Fair pricing, great portion size.

This is a gem. As soon as you walk in you will be greeted by Paul. He is a great enough reason to come back often. A conversation with him will have you feeling 100x lighter and refreshed. He is a man of GOD.

If that wasnt enough, the food is top tier. I am writing this after having visited once with my partner and second time with my niece. Both of them could barely finish half a double because the burgers are great portion. Be sure to get the special, because that sauce is immaculate. The fries are simple but a perfect match for the decadent burgers. I am rushing to try the chicken sandwich!

Lastly, the experience is amazing because you will hear worship music, which makes the experience peaceful..... I believe this important when eating!
