We were at Tim's Cigars and we were hungry, so I looked in the review mirror and saw Gryo King directly behind us. I looked it up and saw 57 reviews with five stars (high praise). We decided "Alright, let's give them a shot."
For our first visit we got a Falafel Gryo and Lamb Shawarma. What's the difference? Gryo is served in a pita and Shawarma is served wrap style. We also made one of the orders "a meal" for $3 more which included fries and a drink. Total: $17. Everything was DELICIOUS! The falafel was crisp and flavorful with that nice slow spicy heat on every bite, and the lamb was tender and just perfect. The fries were crisp on the outside and fluffy on the inside and NOT greasy. Perfectly done! It's seriously some of the best Mediterranean fare we've had at a cart! So good in fact, we returned the following weekend to try the kofta and lamb shawarma again. If you want a Mediterranean burger, kofta is your jam! Btw, the portions are generous and could easily be split.
Pro-tip#1: if you're going to eat and drive, shawarma is the only way to go. Pro-tip #2: You can also call your order in ahead.
The people/family that run this cart are great! Their service was fast and friendly. And I got to meet a friendly German Shepherd pup named "Mocha".
Long story short, the food is awesome, the people are awesome and you can't go wrong with the value/quality/portions. This cart has just celebrated their one year anniversary. Please visit them and make sure they stick around for...
Read moreTwo stars for fries! But next time flavor em up plz Friendly kind service from the man Good Gyro bread beautifully wrapped Gyro Quick service However- I was Totally bummed about the style beef inside- it was mo like the po boy or Philly kind meat - Dry I request extra tzatziki but to my dismay there was barely any. No tomatoes!!?? No Kalamata Olives? no cucumbers!!?? Wowza? I defiantly didn’t get the extra tzatziki sauce I’d requested. Bottom line the bottom was not what I needed. It was where the Wilted mushy shredded “iceberg” (say what) lettuce was hidden below the dry meat I was super bummed - hopefully this review will offer a correction to the ingredients used inside- that’s the only thing necessary to BEEF UP the Gyro- spring mix/romaine / thinly sliced tomatoes as kalamata n cucumbers with plenty of real tzatziki sauce- n feta...

Price is now $11 + 5 for a gyro plus fries.
I'm pretty sure they changed their sauce recipe. It has a delightfully creamy taste, which I've never experienced in a white gyro sauce.
Lots of big chunks of tasty meat. Only downside is that the veg was pretty pathetic, just a single layer of lettuce, no tomato, no cucumber, nada.
Very tasty gyro. They do the stewed style with plenty of chunks of meat, and a bit of fresh tomato and lettuce.
Fries are standard food truck gyro fries.
Five stars because for $13, the lamb gyro + fries was a satisfying meal. Also, in this area there are no competing options. I was also really in the mood for gyros, but you may find that the gyro carts/vendors hours are more of a suggestion than an actual...
