My review is not for the food, the empanadas are really good you should try but omg the girl with curly hair on the top that takes the order is so rude. First I told her that I did a mistake in choosing one empanada and I asked if she could help me exchanging from cheese empanada to pizza one and she gave a bad look like she did not understand me and laughed about it. However she actually did so she started speaking Spanish to the people from the kitchen about the exchange that I wanted. Spanish is my main language so when someone speaks spanish is easy for Latinos to talk in our first language specially if you perfectly speaks Spanish. Then she asked me about the sauces I told her I would like salsa rosada y verde ( in Spanish because I heard she spoke in Spanish) and she was like pink and green? I was like yeah. Then when I was expecting my 2nd order of empanadas and I just turned my head to see if my order was ready and she saw me and told me what !?? with an attitude. I did not react because I am not that kind of person and my babies were there .. but I told her I place a second order ( just in case she doesn’t know ) and she rudely told me YES I KNOW.. It is so sad that a place where the food is awesome lacks of service skills from their employees and Latinos profiling when you speak Spanish. Thankfully I did not ask my mother who speaks zero English to order. At the end there was a guy from the staff who nicely asked me if everything was good ( in Spanish ) and offered me if I wanted more sauces. Not ashamed of speaking to...
Read moreI was so excited for an establishment like this in the area but, I was disappointed with my order. While the empanadas and chicken chimi had good flavor. The empanadas were on the smaller side for $4.75 each, they weren’t even filled enough, and the chicken chimi was pressed so flat that it resembled a croissant panini (super flat), I had to actually look at the toppings to see if it was all there - for the pricing it’s not worth it.
The establishment itself leaves much to be desired. It’s not a place where I felt welcomed to sit and eat. It was more of a - place an order and wait in your car until it’s ready type of vibe. The staff is barely present besides to assist if you have a question, it feels really bare in...
Read moreWe were stuck in post-4th of July traffic, crawling at a snail’s pace, and fate parked us next to the Bussin Empanadas school bus for what felt like an hour. Their branding, their feather banner, and—oh, the smell—worked their way into my subconscious like some delicious form of hypnosis. By the time we caved and tried one, it was over; taste buds were delightlyfully ruined for life.
No other empanadas compare, and it’s frustrating how much I crave them now. With their storefront opening soon, I can already hear my waistband screaming. Bussin Empanadas is an addictive life experience. Good things truly do come from short yellow buses. ps: I'm pretty sure they use crack...
