My family has ordered from this restaurant about four times since they opened; my brother has eaten in restaurant with his friend once. Among some of the curries that we have tried were the chicken tikka masala, goat curry and egg curry. While the flavors of the dishes are very good, they are inconsistent with the portions of meat they give. We placed an order today and the meat they included was very little compared to the portions from our previous orders. The goat curry is described as goat “cubes” but the goat pieces have big bones with very little meat; egg curry has only three eggs; chicken tikka masala has very little meat. I hope they fix this and provide consistency or I suspect they will lose patrons. There is a lot of competition in the area so I hope they fix this issue soon.

If you’re looking for a place that serves authentic, mouth-watering Indian cuisine, PUNJABI TADKAA is the spot to be! I had indulged in their Chole Bhature and Gobhi Paratha platter, and I must say, the experience was nothing short of exceptional. The food was amazingly fresh, flavorful, and perfectly spiced—each bite bursting with the rich essence of traditional North Indian/Punjabi cooking. The hospitality at Punjabi Tadka was just as impressive. To top it all off, the sweet and gud-chai at the end was a terrific way to conclude the meal—comforting, aromatic, and simply delightful. Whether you’re planning a casual business lunch or a family dine-in, this place is a must-visit for a truly satisfying culinary experience. Highly recommended!

We’ve been regulars here for a while now. We order almost every week—usually a bunch of different things—and we’ve always loved the food. We’ve even recommended this place to friends and family because we genuinely enjoyed it.

But this time, the experience just wasn’t the same.

When we were placing the order (as always, for takeout), the person helping us wasn’t very attentive. We kept telling them we wanted the noodles to be spicy—repeatedly—and they kept saying “okay, okay,” but when we got home, the noodles were completely bland. Not even a little spice, and honestly, they didn’t even taste like they had salt in them.

The bigger issue, though, was with the mixed grill non-veg platter. We specifically asked for only chicken and fish, but the packaging was so poor that by the time we got home—just 20 minutes later—the food was completely soaked from the steam. Everything was wet, and the texture was totally off.

When we called to politely share our feedback, instead of listening and trying to understand, we were repeatedly passed from one person to another. Each person seemed more interested in arguing than resolving the issue, and at one point, it felt like we were being made to look dishonest, which was very upsetting.

We weren’t asking for a refund or anything unreasonable—just expecting to be heard and respected as loyal customers.

We’re not the kind of people who usually leave negative reviews, and we still appreciate the food we’ve had here in the past. But this experience left us feeling unheard and disrespected. We hope this feedback is taken constructively, because we do want to keep supporting this business—but some things really...

We recently had the pleasure of dining at a new restaurant, Punjabi Tadka, in Port Reading, and I have to say it was a truly wonderful experience. From the moment we entered, we were greeted with exceptional service and tasteful decor that perfectly combined comfort and sophistication. The menu offered a fabulous traditional Indian cuisine, incorporating the distinct flavours of Punjab while still preserving the essence of classic Indian spices. The standout dishes for me were Aloo Prantha, Amritsari Kulcha (with white butter), and Butter Chicken. Additionally, the Gajar Halwa was delightful. The Owner, Rahul, greeted and served us with great warmth and love, and was extremely humble and dignified in all the praise heaped upon him.

The main courses, which included the Sarson ka saag as well as the Butter chicken, were equally impressive. The tenderness of the chicken and the rich flavours of the saag left us thoroughly satisfied. The flavours were superb, and the portion sizes were perfect for sharing, allowing us to savour a variety of dishes. As the restaurant is BYOB, we could bring our own wine. Next time we will.

This place is a must-visit for family and friends, offering a truly satisfying culinary experience. Highly recommended!

The dining experience was exceptional, showcasing a menu that transcends the usual Punjabi offerings. Each dish, reminiscent of a five-star restaurant, was prepared with remarkable finesse. We savored the Punjabi kulcha, which was perfectly baked with a delightful crispiness, complemented by a rich and tangy mint chutney. The samosa chaat was a vibrant explosion of flavors, combining crispy samosas with creamy yogurt and a medley of spices that tantalized the taste buds.

Next, the aloo chaat was a delectable blend of seasoned potatoes, garnished with fresh cilantro and a drizzle of sweet tamarind sauce that added a refreshing touch. The papdi chaat, with its crispy disks and a harmonious balance of textures, was equally impressive. The goat curry was the highlight of the meal—slow-cooked to perfection, the tender pieces of meat were bathed in a fragrant, rich gravy that made every bite a culinary delight. We rounded off our feast with a delightful bread basket that included assorted naan, each one soft and pillowy.

The ambiance of the restaurant was reminiscent of an indoor dhaba, with rustic decor and warm lighting that created a cozy atmosphere. It felt like stepping into a welcoming home rather than a typical eatery. To cap off the evening, we engaged in a spirited game of dhol and danced the bangda, filling the space with laughter and joy. The entire experience left us feeling lively and connected, truly evoking a sense...
