7/2018 - A year later and nothing had changed ... Slow staff and dirty dishes, never again!
6/2017 - I have been to this location many times ... altough I've never order take out or pick up, this will make sense shortly. This location tends to be cold (the temperature must be set to 32), clean and the staff is always friendly, although always seem to be short staffed. Today we arrived at the location a little after 4:30pm, we were told to sit anywhere and someone would be with us in a moment ... no problem, we sat and waited. We waited, waited and waited ... about 15 minutes go by without anyone tending to our table, mind you there is one other table seated, so I find myself the way to the menus. A minute later, a very nice waitress comes up (brand new to the location she says) and apologizes for the wait, I reply "it's not a problem, I understand". She takes our order, comes back about 30 minutes later with our meal (dinner box) minus the wings and to our surprise we noticed a long piece of brown hair on the crust of the bread sticks ... I bring her the food, show her the piece of long brown hair and she says she'll make a new order, I reply "it's not a problem, I'd appreciate it". She then brings our 8 wings out, which are supposed to 33% bigger than their previous wings (picture attached) with blue cheese ... I then asked for ranch she quickly returned. She was very prompt refilling our drinks and overall making sure everything was to our liking, everything was fine ... minus the hair obviously, but things happen when the staff is not required to wear hair nets when dealing with food. I overlooked the whole thing, she was on point ... but then I was a little upset when the check came, it may sound silly but the fact that I was charged extra for sauce because the sauce that was given wasn't requested. Then I thought about the 8 wings, the hair on the bread sticks, the initial 15 minutes where no one even came to our table ... so I figured what the he, I will ask if there's something that can be done. So I ask the nice young lady, after she's helping another customer, "do you think something could be done about the situation?" She asks what do you mean "the situation, I don't want to say it outloud, the bread sticks" ... she then turns to DYLAN and they whisper back and fourth for a second or two (the "manager", most likely a shift manager) and he asks me If I come here often, "sure, I live not too far, I've been here a quite a few times" he then asks my phone number, "--**" (I am thinking why does this matter, but then I realize he's trying to see if I order pick up or delivery ... I think to myself, I'm not like everyone else who stays out in their house) ... nothing comes up, is there a different number? So he goes on to tell me that he will make an order to go, which would take about 15 minutes or put a credit of $6 on my account for next time. He overall had a poor attitude and unwillingness to even care, I didn't expect to get anything major out of asking ... I figured it wouldn't hurt to see if maybe they'd take a drink off or something. But he didn't even apologize. I don't think I will ever return to this location ever again, I don't appreciate the way the situation was handled ... does it really matter if you have documentation indicating that I've made purchases at your location, I'll bring my cc and bank statements, I had hair in my food! I should have walked out at that point. I was charged extra because the new girl (again she was very nice and I wish her luck, I hope she finds a better business to work for) didn't bother to ask what sauce I'd like for my tiny wings! The big bummer is the fact that the Deptford, Clementon, Turnersville and Somerdale locations are closed and this is the only one left besides a HUT that's close by. I love pizza hut pizza but don't waste your time or money ... it's not worth...
Read moreI visited on a Wednesday night. We waited at least 10 minutes until we were acknowledged by someone. There was another customer wanting to place a carryout order but grew impatient of waiting so they left. We were finally greeted by a woman with a too small shirt leaving her back exposed & jeans. We ordered cheese bread sticks, Alfredo pasta & wings. I was unable to order a salad bc the salad bar had already been cleaned out at 6pm!! Why have something on a menu when you arent able to order. Instead of bringing appetizer first she brings everything at once. In which making us wait an additional 15 mins. Our pasta was in a aluminum pan placed in a basket instead of usual white bowl for dine in. I asked for the wings well done but they were not. She came to the table once after we received our food. I asked her for blue cheese for my wings. After 30 mins of waiting she comes to my table & ask if i still want blue cheese. By that time I was ready to go & asked for take out containers. She gives me a white box you usually put pizza in for my pasta. When i was ready to pay i stood up front for 5 minutes until someone came upfront to check me out. I could of just left if i wanted to. Now I am very familar with customer service bc I once was a proud employee at this same location when I was younger at 19 I am now 25. So I know for a fact that salad bar should have not been taking down at 6pm! There should have been someone in the front to greet each customer but instead they were all in the back talking. The waitress was not even in her proper uniform. She lacked complete customer service. I am constantly looking for kid friendly places to eat with my son. Pizza hut is a family restaurant. I learned most of my customer service from pizza hut! As a waitress you should know when you have customers with children your main objective is to make that child happy. & they will surely come back. I had to ask her for crayons and paper for my son. I was very dissapointed in this visit. I hadn't been back in pizza hut in years. It was not what expected at all. My son & myself will not be back at this location for dine in. Pizza Hut is not how it used to be. Please do better with your...
Read moreWell the family and I decided to do pizza for dinner after a long day at a nearby water park. We decided on eating at a pizza establishment instead of doing carry out. When I was a kid, Pizza Hut stood out as the leader in this criteria of chain restaurants. We wanted to find a Pizza Hut with the most classic experience and not just place with a couple of tables with chairs in a hallway, by the counter or sitting near delivery bags. The Pizza Hut location was the closest location that would provide this original, old school experience. It's as close as we were going to get. Get to the restaurant and on this day, it seemed to be understaffed but the were friendly and did the best they could with what they were working with. We ordered at the counter and then seated ourselves. The seating was roomy and not in the way of carry out traffic. The food was brought to us packaged as carryout which was not was done of past, just explaining not complaining. The food was great. Pizza was on point, breadsticks and marinara perfect/needed more, cinnamon buns / kids loved, boneless chicken wings / good. Due to the fact that it was already packaged for carryout it was easy to take any leftovers home. There was left over trash still on two other tables which lead me to believe staff is who cleans up after guests. I approached the very hospitable cashier/ order maker of my observation of the short staff situation. Knowing that he was going to eventually clean it up and I left him a tip for all three tables of trash. I worked at a pizza spot as a teen and was doing his job the best he could with what he got. A good place to eat if you don't want to feel crowded and it was...
