Last year I bought a used mercruiser 4.3. Price was maybe higher than what most might consider paying, but it was a much newer engine, and a complete assembly. Plug and play. Also bought manifolds and risers. Had them in stock, at an excellent price. This year I bought a used alpha 1 outdrive from there. Great price on a drive in excellent condition. Have bought numerous other parts here as well. The place is truly a store for DIY boaters. The vast majority of their inventory is on the shelves for the customer to browse through. Many times they’ll offer a part as Quicksilver and they’ll have the Sierra part next to it so the customer can easily compare and make their choice. Prices are also clearly marked. Finally, if a part requires a special tool, in most cases, the special tool is on the shelf. When I bought the engine, he loaned me his engine alignment bar, knowing full well I’d be taking it for several days, 100+ miles away. He also gave me an updated steering ram. First off, Nick was tremendous helping me order a Gen 2 Throttle control, T/S cables and a wire harness. Unfortunately, I wasn't aware that the one tracking number I was given was for one of the 3 parts I ordered and he sourced. On Monday, I saw that my order had arrived at my Mechanic's business and I decided to drive an hour, pick up my parts, and do the work myself. Much to my dismay, the T/S cables hadn't arrived and wouldn't arrive until later in the day. Just glad I didn't trailer my boat there.
