We were so excited! The menu looked appetizing—with reasonable prices. The place had a good vibe and there was even a great band playing. But after we arrived at 12:15 this afternoon, we waited and waited but no one came up to take our drink or food order—or even say hi, sorry we’re slammed, we’ll get your order soon—by the time 12:50 rolled around and we decided to leave.
That’s 35 minutes of us sitting at the table with not one server acknowledging us, much less helping. Our friend who got there earlier sat there with us at our table with the single Coke they ordered for the full 35 minutes, also not being helped. (That friend was seated by the staff so they knew there were people at the table—and I mean, obviously they could see us too.)
I honestly don’t know how long it would have taken if we hadn’t left—more than once I made eye contact with a server and made a polite gesture to let her know we were ready for her when she had a moment, but she would then walk by us repeatedly and not acknowledge our table.
I know it’s difficult to run a place when you’re understaffed, and I don’t expect unreasonably fast service, but on a Sunday—a minor holiday no less, when people usually go out to eat in groups—or any day, this kind of thing is unacceptable. It almost felt intentional—I’ve worked in food service before, and I feel like you have to go out of your way to ignore someone for that long. 35 minutes and nothing. Not even a hello.

Read moreI think their food is really yummy, my husband and our grandson must feel the same way as they've gone there nearly every week for several months. Last time they asked me if I wanted anything and I requested honey BBQ wings, 10 of them. They were so dry I didn't enjoy them at all so I called and complained, no yelling or screaming! After I explained it to the kitchen manager (I think) she said thanks for letting me know...that was it?! I went on to say that any restaurant with good customer service would offer a replacement. She finally said she would and the next time my husband came in he could pick them up, so he did. When he spoke with her, the first thing she said she remembered was offering 10% off my next order? Never said anything like that...finally she agreed she'd replace my order which she did not do as I ordered 10 wings which she replaced with 6. (They were really tasty!!) I don't where she go her customer service training (maybe she didn't?) but I'm a nurse, my husband an engineer, I don't need to lie to get a few wings. My husband didn't need to be questioned, the whole thing was ridiculous and I will never go there again nor ask for my husband to bring me anything! What a way to treat customers, especially ones who...
Read moreFor this review, I felt it was suitable to do categories:
Atmosphere: Relaxed and dimly lit during the afternoon. A feeling of sports bar but with a hint of charm. Overall, pleasant.
Customer service: Above average. Staff was attentive to needs despite only having two people present. Very friendly. Frequently made sure we had everything we needed. I will say, there is room for improvement, as it seems there is a minor difficulty in responding appropriately to polite food criticism. I wasn't offered any solutions to the issue I experienced.
Food quality: Sub-par. I requested the turkey, provolone, and arugula sandwich with a side of sweet potato tots. The sweet potato tots were delicious and they were my personal favorite. My sandwich wasn't as such. It was heavily salted to an unsavory degree. Too much cranberry aioli as well. Not enough arugula. I had a terrible stomach-ache after dinner that persisted for hours, so this leads me to believe there should be some recipe altering in this department. Presentation was good.
Cleanliness: Wonderful. Everything seemed to be in it's proper place, every table was bussed, no cluttered areas, floors were swept and mopped, and the bathroom was well-stocked...
