Everyone deserves to know the truth so please bare with me. For 2+ years I've ordered a Mexican pizza 1 or 2 times a month on Thursday, when they have the special half off. I would make one change, I ordered with chicken instead of beef. They always made it clear that I would pay $2 extra for the chicken even though I didn't order beef but I would still receive the half off price so I figured I was still getting a deal! My last time ordering was about a month ago, and the manager (blonde woman with glasses), whom I ordered from before, said "this would be the last time I received that deal because I wasn't ordering the special!" I stated that I hadn't had a problem before and I am still ordering the special, just changing the meat and paying $2 extra for the chicken even though chicken is cheaper than beef! She said "that wasn't true, beef is cheaper than chicken!" Anyone who has ever went shopping for meat knows chicken is cheaper than beef! So now I have the "manager" of a place I've given hundres of dollars to for some chicken and beans making it clear that I'm no longer welcome to spend my money there. I'm sure I can make a better pizza myself, thank you for...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreāI will NEVER be back to this establishment AGAINā! Iāve been coming here for over 20 years and my whole family as well. We will no longer support this Business. I had two separate orders my motherās because she does not drive and my own. They forgot my momās ranch fry dinner so I had to drive back they offered no compensation. My momās dinner tasted terrible. When I finally arrived home to check my dinner I had no beans and the enchiladas were poorly made. I called and spoke to the manager June and she was only offering to replace my beans !!!! She kept repeating that I was only missing beans and that she would only replace one dinner!! She asked for my first and last name and phone number to call and speak to the owner hector which told her he would only replace one dinner but, she failed to tell hector I had two separate orders. You are losing more than just two dinners that you refused to replace but, my entire family will never support your business here. My son also choose this place through make a wish foundation to come here to eat. Absolutely disgusting...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreSHORT VERSION: Very pricy, unremarkable food. However, it does have a stylish interior and good service.
LONG VERSION: The food was passable, but the prices were shockingly high. I looked at what must have been a very outdated online menu, and called the restaurant to order for pickup. A bowl of chili was $7.95, an order of four tamales (no sides) was $11.00, and the fajitas were $16.95. The total: $38.00.
Their "Hector's chili" is decently flavorful and hearty, but unremarkable. The tamales were pretty good. The fajitas were skimpy with the meat (steak). Unfortunately, not worth the price at all.
However, on the positive side, the interior was surprisingly cozy and visually pleasing. Based on looks alone, it would be a good spot for a romantic date. The food was at least prepared quickly, and the staff member who handled my order was professional and provided good service.
This is the first time I have ever given a business a negative review. Overall, with the abundance of dining options Downriver is blessed with, I would skip Amigo's Woodhaven and try...
