Editing the review to add the newest experience. Well I can say dining IN the restaurant is a wonderful experience, the carryout doesn't seem to work so well. I've tried ordering carry out several times first issue, there's always some component of the meal missing. Second issue sometimes what comes in the box looks appetizing other times it looks like it was just slopped in there and closed up like this most recent one, it looked very unappetizing upon opening to discover My rice and vegetables were missing from my meal this time. Last time it was the pita bread for my sandwich? My take out box had wet chicken soaking the hummus in wet chicken juice making it watery and taste funny (photo below). There was seriously a few tablespoons worth of juice in the box when I drained it. Kinda gross. I understand that you guys get busy but I pay a lot of money for this food, nothing's cheap anymore and if you're going to pay this much for food you deserve to get the quality and quantity you pay for.
In all honesty I'm very disappointed with the takeout service from this place they're apologetic and offer to fix it, or credit you for it the next time you come through but that's really not very helpful when it's 9:00 at night and I really just want to eat and go to bed....
To sum it up, if you're going to go in and eat, good, enjoy your meal. If you're going to go for carry out, open your bag at the counter and inspect everything you're supposed to get before you walk out the door to save yourself a trip having to come back or the fun of phone calls and credit for the next visit. Or the extra time it takes to edit a Google review.
Atmosphere is great serves great food tastes great the only problem I have is they nickel and dime you for literally everything, like for every pickle slice you ask for, every dollop of sour cream, or ranch dressing, most restaurants you go to around here if you ask your server for an extra ranch dressing they'll just bring it to you, no charge, not here...and it's not exactly cheap either, affordable sure, cheap no. I'll still be going back, frequently, just because the company are Penny pinchers doesn't make it not...
Read moreThis review pictured from “Bodog” is one of those things where you can’t believe everything you see on the internet. The writer/poster of this review is actually someone who frequented this particular Leo’s 4+ times a week for over a year and a half with his wife-aka me. It was our favorite Leo’s in the downriver area because of how great the service was and how good the food is. We’d often refuse to go to the one in AP or on eureka by the mall when we were out and about because of how awful service and food were at those locations. I imagine this particular posting is now coming from the young waitress girlfriend he started dating or from him being protective over her because she was recently let go from this particular establishment. Is every restaurant perfect? Of course not. But if you ever had something that you were unhappy with, the staff would gladly fix it without issue. All of the girls here are great. Friendly, caring and make you feel like family. As someone who frequented this location several times a week, sometimes multiple times a day-with the person who posted the review in the pic and on her own, I’ve never seen management berate employees in the middle of the dining room nor have I seen older men get handsy with the staff. Many of the waitresses and management have young children of their own and have no tolerance for inappropriate behavior like that. Which I imagine could have been a factor in his girlfriend being let go, as he would often sit up there for extended periods of time after finishing a meal while she was working, just to see her and spend time with her. I don’t need to write a novel defending this restaurant but it’s necessary in situations like this where the statements reported are bold face lies. Regardless, don’t let this disgruntled older man and/or disgruntled former employee deter you from dining and enjoying a good meal at the Woodhaven Leo’s. Give them a chance, especially on Wednesdays for chicken pot pie soup day!
almost official ex-wife of this recent disgruntled review poster ;)
Ps I strongly recommend you try a grilled cheese pita, extra crispy! Game changer for a healthier grilled cheese option! You...
Read moreThis restaurant in Woodhaven has a family atmosphere, looks to be clean, and my server, was very friendly. I ordered the Reuben and fries and it came out hot and fries crispy. It didn’t take long to get my food as this location wasn’t super busy around 4 o’clock. I gave this location three stars because as I ate, I witnessed something disconcerting. I counted seven servers which included staff behind the counter, and more than 50% of them were using their cell phones numerous times during the 35 minutes I was there. Thankfully, my server, Brooke, was not using her cell phone while working. In the Restaurant business, I’m sure this is nothing new, as so many people are tethered to their cell phones. However, watching this in plain sight was rather disgusting. As you know, many people take their phones into the bathroom, and the last thing I wanted to see while I was eating my meal was for a server to use their phone, set it down on the counter, and pick up silverware and a napkin to deliver it at a table. I work in the healthcare field, and this is called cross-contamination. Surfaces can get contaminated accidentally, but using your nasty phone and then touching silverware, a plate, or a cup that holds their beverage, Is inappropriate. Let’s hope this location steps up their game, and enforces a no cell phone use policy. Kudos to Brooke for being cleanly, kind, and a...
