I walked in here right before the Woodland Christmas Parade thinking this was the longtime famous Las Brasas Tacos & Salsas, since the sign on the building says Las Brasas Tacos & Salsas (see my photos). I have never seen this place so dead. It's normally full to the max. There was not a single other customer in there. There is a sign on the counter that says this is now called 11:11 Sabores del Pueblo. I asked why the menu is different and the cashier said this is a new business and when I asked what happened to the old place she said she didn't know. I also noticed that there is no longer a salsa bar. So I ordered 3 tacos and a tamale. The pork in the tamale looked weird but it was edible. The tamale was served falling apart. The tacos were pretty good but didn't have very much meat on them at all and were overpriced at that.
I'm giving one star because the cashier tried to steal money from me, twice. Right before I paid with my credit card chip on their scanner, she hit something on the register to raise the price of what was showing on the cash register to be higher on the credit card scanner by 50 cents. I didn't say anything about it. Then I added a tamale to the order and she tried to do it again. I asked 'Why are you adding more money to the card scanner than what the register says and she lied to me saying 'Our bank requires us to add their own charge to every customer'. This is completely untrue as no banks tell any business that they must overcharge every customer, especially by deception and credit card abuse. So I paid for the tamale in cash. The cashier then tried to steal from me again by shortchanging me. I gave the benefit of the doubt and asked why she was not giving me the correct change and she lied again blaming it on 'our bank'. So the cashier was dishonest and I would highly suggest that anyone who eats here, watch out for them overcharging you with your credit or debit card and watch out for being short-changed in cash at the register. This clerk was attempting theft either for her own benefit or she has been trained by someone to do so.
Finally, even while there were no other customers here, someone has been here because there were a ton of greasy handprints all over the front door glass. Pretty gross on fact. Makes me wonder what the kitchen looks like. Since there were no customers I wonder why someone would not have time to at least clean the front door glass to make this look clean and welcoming. The food was good while overpriced and I hope they do well in the future once they treat customers ethically in monetary transactions at the register and even without the awesome salsa bar that Las Brasas Tacos & Salsas was famous all over...
Read moreWe were on a roadtrip when we happened to drive by the area. It happened to be a holiday, and every restaurant had shut down for the day. We saw an open sign at this 11:11 restaurant and decided to give it a try. When we walked into this place, we were not expecting the bright pink, cheery, vibe we were welcomed with. The aroma was already a good sign. But also, the staff was incredibly welcoming, and so helpful with explaining dishes. The restaurant was had 4 tables eating so we were able to check out what was coming out of the kitchen right before we ordered. The woman in the kitchen (whoever she was) really knew a thing or two. Let me tell you -THEIR TORTILLAS ARE MADE FROM SCRATCH AND THEY MELT IN YOUR MOUTH. The flavor of their meat is on point. And the cabbage, cilantro, onions and salsa were all extremely fresh. We felt so lucky that the holiday had led us to this place! 10/10. Highly recommended. And, now every time we drive by Woodland, we always always stop by to grab some tacos and burritos and always make sure we get a few extra for the following...
Read moreThis place, has to be one of the best within the whole area. It gave me a comfort I cannot describe, food was impeccable, service was great from all parties, and overall the atmosphere is so cute and for it to be so new it has a nice feeling soon as you even look at the restaurant. I appreciate the display of the food, the accommodations for my diet, the service I like to call an experience, and there is so much more I can say, I don't even live anywhere near the city where this is located at and this had me feeling at home when I never visited up until recently. I truly recommend you all to stop by to give this place a chance with everything there is to offer on their menu. The restaurant is off to a great start, and I hope to see more and try more when I stop by which might be more often now that this place gave me reason to visit this city which I am...
