My husband and I just left the Woodland pizza place. We each ordered the lunch buffet. It was 12:10. The salad offerings were pretty good, but for $16 (if u want drink it is $2) definitely want pizza too. U fortunately not a single pizza was out. There was only 4 people there when we arrived, but several groups came in right after us. I asked about the pizza and was told it was cooking. By now, 17 people were waiting for pizza, and they only put out 1 pizza divided I to 4 different flavors. Needless to say, the pizza was quickly gone, leaving several people still waiting. Approximately 10 minutes later 1 more pizza was brought out. We were on a time schedule, as most people on lunch break are, so ended up with a piece of pizza, salad, and drink. That's not much for the amount charged. Just in the short time of my lunch, I have learned that this seems to be the norm. Several of my friends, plus several of the patrons, including my husband, mentioned they had this happen on their last visit too, but thought maybe it was bad timing or something. All I know is if you are offering a lunch buffet, and your customers are arriving at lunch time, you should be prepared to have plenty to offer if you are going to charge that much. Although the food was good, there was not enough available for the cost. The customers had to just take whatever pizza was there, because there were no other choices. At other pizza buffet that I have gone to there are usually at least 3 different options (as in 3 different large pizzas, NOT 1 large with 4 different flavors) especially during lunch time. And there were never enough people there to say that the rush wiped out the pizza so need to wait for more...
Read moreWish I could give 5* cuz pizza was delicious!! However.... We went on a weekday evening when VERY little amount of customers were there. After we ate I asked for a box and added the remaining pieces of the 2 pizza we ordered. We had played some arcade games while waiting on food. Since the games need a prepaid card we still had credits to play so we headed in to finish the credits. Less than 5mins later we go to grab pizza n head home but they cleared our table!! We asked and they said they put in trash. I asked why they wouldn't think of checking arcade before throwing it away? I mean they can see in there from register and food counter... Its not that they had anybody else in there except one lady alone and two women who had just ordered. Anyway the man (who I believe was manager) kinda got an attitude that I suggested before so quickly throwing away the pizza we just spent $70 on, to look around first. And then some young guy walked up from back with a box and said he found it, it hadn't been disposed of. When we opened it though it only had combination pizza but we definitely also put half of my daughters cheese pizza too but that was not it. Ummm...?? Idk if I'm overreacting but I cant help but wonder if it had in fact been tossed due to it being only part of what...
Read moreWe purchased 4 pizzas tonight all skinny crust. Pizzas arrived and were all regular crusts. We called to let the store know and the nice lady on the phone asked if we wanted to speak to the manager. My husband responded yes to which we here a man sayâtell them they have to call backâ the same voice got in the phone and rudely asked for our order name which my husband gave. He pulled up the order, saw we spent $143 including a $20 tip and then started to rudely tell us it is skinny, they have no control over what corporate tells them to do. That although it is not skinny it is slightly thinner than the regular. Overhearing this I was annoyed and offered to send him photos explaining it is not skinny. He repeated it was not their fault as corporate tells them how to make it. I advised we order Mountain Mikeâs pizza from Davis weekly and the thin crusts are always thin. I advised we were not asking for anything from him but wanted to let a new business know as Iâm sure they are still working out the kinks but due to the Attitude and excuses we will continue to pay more money for DoorDash deliveries of Mountain Mikes in Davis. A simple, sorry about that or We are working out the kinks would have been great but the attitude and excuses safely will not have...
