UPDATE: on 9/15/20 we ordered online through Menufy. I called about 20 minutes later because I didn't get a confirmation. It was all set, luckily, but the guy had to tell me they moved locations, which wasn't anywhere online. Curious what would've happened if I hadn't called ahead. When we got there, they're next door/attached to Lal Qila, which had roaches (literally walking on the tables) last time we went there. So, already grossed out by that. We go in, no masks. We ask why they're not wearing them, so the guy puts his on, but other employees don't have theirs on. Gross. Then, one item we ordered was going to take a little longer, so we waited for 15 minutes in the car. Went back in to get last item, and they couldn't make it, big surprise. I asked for an alternative, they didn't have that. Asked for a refund, was offered a same-price replacement that wasn't really worth it (chana masala in place of kebabs), but to get out with something instead of nothing, I accepted. Super disappointed that this place has become such a trash heap.
5 star review from when they first opened: Came here for the first time on a Saturday afternoon with my husband and in-laws, not expecting much. The menu was confusing and not clear about what comes with what. No buffet on weekends, so we ordered in and we were blown away! Huge portions, delicious everything, and good service. Ask for spicy or well-done if you want the food as it "should" taste. The tikka masala was unusually sweet and the chicken karahi wasn't gingery enough, so we talked to the server and he joked that most of their customers like it more plain. We're used to that, so next time we'll ask for the upgrades. Prices are typical of the area....
Read moreAs of March 2025 The name has changed. Service and did are still excellent.
As of today April 12, 2021 Now they are at a new location! But the entrance is a bit confusing to find specially at night. The restaurant sign is directly above the Halal Pizza sign, when it is not lighted at night it will be pick dark to see, it is difficult to read when the security light On & the glare is too strong! They are across the AMC theatres in the back parking lot of the Security Square Mall near to the rear entrance & the Trucking company driving school. You have to go through the Halal Pizza entrance to get to the restaurant & immediately priced past the kitchen to get to the main restaurant dining area and buffet. A very odd way and since they are sharing the Halal Pizza entrance, I don't know if they open the pizza place as well.
The food is still as good and flavorful.
Since my first time here, I was initially skeptical. The gentleman gave me the run down on the buffet lunch special. Not too spicy (mild) selections. All you can eat buffet (lunch only) with round flat bread.
Good curry chicken selections. Tried the chicken Biryani. It was good. I left quite satisfied. The spice was a good change from fast food. Although by the time I was done, I did break out in a little sweat from the spice. The coca-cola's carbonation did help with the spice. The Butter Chicken is not spicy but creamy and as it describes buttery. Quite good!
I have been here a few times since then.
Must try the Karahi selections next time. Delivery is available. Lunch buffet pricing not too bad at $9.99. Decent portions. Buffet available on certain days....
Read moreWorst desi buffet ever! It was our first time there after it was taken over by new owner. (Old management and food was slightly better than this one! ) I and my husband was there for dinner buffet on a Sunday. Each person buffet costs about $22+tax!!!! Which is Ridiculous. Even any seafood buffet costs $13-18!! How come some desi buffet can costs this much!! Well, They probably know that everyone is going to eat there just one time anyway, because of bad food and bad service, so they charge you double!!! There wasn’t even enough food on shelves to take. Rice, Biryani, Noodles and all other curry’s had a dried up layer on top. All foods looked and tasted days old. Only one dessert (Kheer) and barely there was any kheer on the tray. Food was very tasteless. Only 4 pieces of samosa they served on the tray, tasted like Indian frozen samosas that you can buy at grocery stores. And samosa shell was raw inside. I couldn’t really find anything to eat there. Probably naan and the kabobs were only eatable food they had so far. They also had panipuri shells only, but no filling! And you can totally forget about the service! Generally I’m a good tipper. But there was not a single employee around, who do you even tip?!!...
