Lal Qila Restaurant — Restaurant in Woodlawn

I have been in Washington metropolitan and baltimore area for almost 25 yrs, I have seen lots of restaurants opining and closing. We went there yesterday, and we will never return again. First of all food is ridiculous,taste less and expensive and then very nasty and rude management. My kids were standing near serving area and they were not even touching the food, the guy named Tayyab came and yelled at my 6 year old daughter, telling her not to put her finger in the food. Then she started crying, I asked her if she touching the food with her finger,my daughter denied, my kids don't lie, I was trying to calm my daughter down, the guy tayyab came back to argue with me, when I questioned him and told him to be polite with kids, he told me to leave the place. We went to that place to have some good time, not to get insulted. We did not even finish our food and we had to leave. I will get in touch with my bank for refund. (This was yesterday's incident ) We went to that place about a month ago, there was some party going on and it was busy, we asked the girl with glasses at front if she could help us, she did not pay any attention to us, she was busy eating sweets which was sitting at front counter uncovered, grabbing it with her hands ( She was touching it with her hands ) and flirting with a guy. Restaurant employ ( The skinny girl with glasses ) can touch food with her hands and no one says nothing to her, But my 6 rear old shy daughter who wasn't even touching food got yelled. I will never ever go there again and I do not recommend that place to any one.

I civilized world usually problems like this can be avoided by saying, I am sorry, I didn't mean to do that. Please tell me what I can do to make you happy and earn your business in future. Unfortunately Mr Tayyab...

The food quality was extremely poor. Hardly any customers were in the restaurant, it was my first time visit to this restaurant, everything there was just not refilled, food quality was extremely poor. I don't understand why do people even think of opening a branch when they can't run it properly. The owner was sitting ther . One of the customers asked if you can please ask someone to refill all the dishes. He said we make less and fresh, though half of the dishes very empty and were not fresh at all. By looking at the dishes you cant even say they were a day or a two old they looked like sitting there for more than 2 days. Biryani was just sitting there like someone has left their leftovers. Golgappas on the other hand were just their with no cholas with it. I mean are the customers just suppose to eat the golgappas just with the sauce? They will charge you first and then will ask you it's ok to proceed with the food. Out of all the restaurants I have been to these is the very low quality. Haven't seen any that low quality. They should close this restaurant down if they cant manage it properl . They are feeding old food to people. No doubt people will get sick very soon after eating that trashy food. I'll never recommend anyone to go here. Even the toilets are nasty, not even one single thing is under control. All they care about is money. They dont care about customer satisfaction and if they will ever come back or not. Very...

This is one of the worst restaurant I have been to in a long time. On a Friday afternoon I walked in I was the only person in the whole restaurant. I should have known then not to stay in this place. A couple walk in behind me and a 3rd person. The food was all old and not much to look at but since I was trying to go back to work I wanted something quickly. There was no fresh tandoori bread Naan so the guys was making the bread I said to him can you give me bread. he would not give me the bread. I had to call the manager to get some bread. he was making the bread and it was in front of him. She asked him twice before he took one bread (naan) and through it in front of me. Another couple walked in. They said can we have bread Naan and there was no kebab there was no chicken tandoori and the guy wouldn't do anything. I told the couple "you have to talk to the manager he won't give it to you." There was a guy walking around in this whole time. We thought he was customer. He turned out to be the owner. The couples that walked in with me they went to the manager they said "this food is horrible. The food has iron taste to it." Which I agreed with them.they refused to pay for their food. I had to leave so I told the owner I have to go. The owner said to me that he would give $2 discount. We should not have been charged at all. My advice please do not go to this place this is a horrible place. THE FOOD HAS BAD...
