I was working in the area and spent Monday-Friday here for three weeks. Other hotels in the immediate area are more expensive or more run down. This place is half the price of the nearby Hampton Inn, and there's honestly no reason you can't stay here every night and rest just as well. That said, there were some issues, but the pros certainly outweigh the cons.||Pros:||• very hospitable staff that treat you like family||• legit Indian restaurant on-site!!! They serve the best yellow dal I've ever had there. Also, if you're a sports fan, they almost always have cricket playing.||• City View Bar & Grill right across the street is a great locals spot to get a drink without driving||• shopping center across the street with liquor store, Rite Aid pharmacy, and a discount grocery store - everything the body needs||• Dunkin Donuts right beside the driveway entrance to the Days Inn||Cons:||• the mattresses feel like laying on a hollow metal spring frame||• my first room had a broken refrigerator||• second room had poor tv signal (I mostly use an HDMI cable connected to my laptop to stream content though anyway)||• housekeeping does a good job, but they are a bit unprofessional when it comes to how they interact with guests. Again, it's a very informal place, and that has pros and cons.||• the free breakfast requires you to go to the front desk for a coupon each morning, and then walk two buildings away to the breakfast room. The selection in the breakfast room isn't great, but I think it's on par with hotels with this many stars tend to offer. Very nice woman manages it, and the other guests tend to be very friendly.||Summary:||All in all, this place is a good value. Eating authentic southern Indian food certainly blows away the flavorless spinach and artichoke dip and calamari you'll get from most mediocre hotel restaurants. Sure there is room for improvement, but this place is still a great value in a...
Read moreI SEE RED ROOF DONT CARE WHERE THEIR NAME GOES ANYMORE.😢 THEIR THE SPIRIT OF THE HOTELS NOW. WHERE TO START? PULLING IN THE PARKING LOT WAS THE FIRST 🚫SIGN. NOT A CAR IN THE PARKING LOT NOT 1. WALKING IN TO CHECK IN WAS A VERY AIRY FEELING. I WAS RIGHT!!! THE FRONT DESK CLERK LOOKED AT US WITH LOOKS TO KILL. HE WAS VERY VERY RUDE. I SPELLED MY LAST NAME FOR HIM 3 TIMES!!! AND HE STILL SPELLED IT WRONG. IT SMELLED LIKE WATER AND MOLD. LOBBY VERY DUSTY. THERES A SIGN IN THE WINDOW THAT SAYS NO REFUND AFTER 15 MINUTES OF CHECK-IN?? I'VE NEVER IN ALL MY YEARS OF TRAVELING SEEN A SIGN THATS SAYS THAT. SO YOU ALREADY KNOW YOUR ROOM IS GOING TO BE DIRTY!! THEN WHEN WE ORDERED THE ROOMS ONLINE I CHECKED PAY WITH CARD AT HOTEL. HE INSISTED AND SORTA DEMANDS I PAY WITH CASH. WE HAD 4 ROOMS. I ASKED CAN I SEE A ROOM BEFORE WE CHECK-IN HE GOT VERY RUDE SORTA HOSTILE SO I TOLD HIM TO CANCEL OUR RESERVATION WERE GOING TO ANOTHER HOTEL. HE GET MAD AGAIN AND SAID HES CHARGING MY CARD ANYWAY BUT I NEVER PUT A CARD IN THE RESERVATION. Read moreThis location was the least pleasant stay I've ever had at a Red Roof Inn, and I've visited multiple in different states including the Red Roof Inn in Timonium. My initial room, which I got swapped out of, had sheets that appeared to have bloodstains on them as well as a flickering light right outside the window, the room I was moved into had hairs on the bedding, towels that looked dingy with faint staining on them, and I killed a roach the morning I left. I know Red Roof Inn is an economy brand, but I've always found them to be reliable and adequately clean. This is the first Red Roof Inn I would not only not recommend, but actively discourage people from visiting. Either standards have fallen in the wake of the pandemic, or this location isn't being maintained properly.
The only upside was that the night staff was accommodating. They took my complaint about the first room seriously and moved me quickly. As my business partner did not arrive on the first night, he did not notice the less-than-clean bedding until the second night, and I only found the roach the morning I was going to check out, and the front desk took the keycards and turned to leave before I mentioned the roach issue.
I will agree with the below complaint that the cleaning staff banged...
