Legends Grill & Bar — Restaurant in Woodridge

I am writing to formally file a complaint regarding a highly upsetting and inappropriate incident that occurred at Legends Sports Bar in the Woodridge casino area on July 5, 2025, around 7:30 PM.

My two sisters, their husbands and I came to Legends for drinks and dinner. After we finished eating, one of my sisters and I went to play the gambling machines at the back of the restaurant while the rest of our party stayed at the table. We sat down at a machine, put in our money and began playing and enjoying ourselves.

There were two men sitting next to us at the machines. As my sister and I were playing — pressing buttons and rubbing the screen for good luck — one of the men began making extremely rude and offensive comments toward us. He sarcastically remarked, “Oh, like that will really work, yeah press it harder, stupid b*tches.”

I was initially shocked and decided to ignore him, assuming he was just drunk, but he continued his verbal assault with more belligerent and disrespectful comments, repeatedly calling us “stupid b*tches” and making the experience very uncomfortable and hostile.

After we finished playing and left the machines, I asked to speak with a manager. A manager (whose name I believe was either Tyler or Niko, though I think it was Tyler) came to speak with me. I explained the situation to him and he said he would “check on it.” When I returned to our table, I noticed him standing at the hostess station. I approached him again and he said he went over to the men and claimed “they were fine” and “weren’t saying anything.” I pointed out that of course they wouldn’t say anything now that no women were sitting next to them, and he simply said he would “keep an eye on them.”

As we were leaving, I stopped to get some business cards and spoke briefly with the other manager (likely Niko), who told me Tyler was watching them, apologized and even offered to buy us a drink. At that point, I just wanted to leave — the experience had already ruined what was supposed to be an enjoyable evening.

Frankly, I am very disappointed with how this situation was handled. This man’s behavior was completely unacceptable and created an unsafe, hostile environment for paying guests. Once I raised my complaint, the staff should have taken it seriously and removed him from the establishment rather than simply “keeping an eye on him.”

I hope you will review this matter, including checking the security cameras and any audio from the area at the time of the incident. I believe the footage will confirm exactly what was said and done. Unfortunately, given the way this situation was handled, I don’t feel comfortable or safe returning to Legends — a place we used to enjoy visiting.

I expect a response from management explaining what actions you will take to address this situation and to ensure this kind of behavior is not tolerated in the future. Please feel free to contact me if you need any...

Great food and very friendly staff make new grill and bar a very welcome addition to the area. Tons of large TV's and a cozy atmosphere make this place ideal. The menu has enough options to make most happy and there are daily specials that are not on the menu. The tacos on Taco Tuesday are amazing (never in my life would I have thought that I would love a veggie taco - but I do!). The draft and bottled beer selection is decently extensive. The prices are very reasonable and every time I get my check I always expect that I am going to be paying more than I actually do. The service is prompt and the food always arrives quickly and is always up to par with any restaurant in the area. The Khalil Mac N Cheese special they were running for Bears games was phenomenal!!! Did I mention the staff is unbelievably friendly??? Jay the bartender is awesome and attentive. Tanya, Steve, and Amy are a few of the waiters/staff that I've had the privilege of dealing with and they are nothing but smiles all the time! Can't believe I almost neglected to mention the wings! They are the best wings in the area bar none. This is my new bar for sports games/good food. Glad you guys...

I want to be able to say nice things about the restaurant so I'll start with the postives - the food and drinks are amazing! I tried the zuchinni, sweet potato fries, and a side caesar salad with a Legends Martini. The martini was MINDBLOWING!

As for the service, we had a larger party with us and we could tell our server was stressed out from the size of our party, which we were unable to make reservations for due to policies there. When the bill came around, our server delivered one to each table. Our server never asked how we were splitting the bills, and when we asked if she could - she claimed that was unable to do so. Legends uses Toast which I know is capable of this feature, as I am a server who uses this device. She proceeded to hound us for our payments as we all were scraping together cash as we expected to pay with our cards and were unable to do with this method. The tip was included, which was expected - but made us attempting to split the bill so much harder.

I would never go back here with a large party as the servers might not be capable, but I would definitely suggest it for small parties of 4-6 or...
